They’re both going for the ball. The Mexican player was going to beat him to it and Kane kicked his leg as a result. It’s a foul imo.

 

Yeah, this is my thinking. Kane's not looking at him coming up, he's eyes on the ball and his leg goes up as the other guy's leg and foot comes in.

 

Gordon is great at pulling that move in the box ironically.

Yeah I didn’t seem like a foul imo you can tell from Kane’s eyes that he was focused on the ball, not the player’s leg, but whatever. Makes for a fun game if Mexico gets a PK
