Hahaha I like that comparison better. Finished the album and I really liked it. Only complaint was Too Real for the lyrics but the rest was pretty great.
This simultaneously feels like something I’m 5-10 years too old for and I dig it and keep not turning it off
FIDLAR is a band that's meant a lot to me forever now and they just really REALLY knocked it out of the park with this one. I'm glad they shook things up and went out of their comfort zone more while keeping the core things about them as a band in the best, I would 100% take the horn sections and swagger in Scam Likely than see them play it safe. Saying this, Nuke is the exact sound that plays in my head under any kind of pressure or stress and I love it for this.
The more I listen to this the more I like it and I REALLY liked it initially. Get Off My Rock, Nuke, Almost Free, Good Times Are Over and all the singles are just so fucking good
I literally have no idea how they fucking do it, every song sounds like it could've come from a completely different album yet as a whole it's still so cohesive and so very Fidlar
I feel like I've heard Can't You See around which is strange since i can't remember when the last time i would have heard it on the radio would have been.
Good Times Are Over is me right now. first time I was able to go through it all. By Myself, Called You Twice, Too Real, Thought. Mouth, and Good Times Are Over are immediate standouts.
get off my rock rules so much and flake sounds like a song that would play during a tony hawk video game or some early 2000s movie album rules
