Idk I also just love the themes of this a little more. My dad passed away in December and I didn’t realize BtR is about his dads passing(?) until I read a write up not long after really getting into the album. Regardless since he passed, death has been on my mind a lot.

I really like what this has to say and you can hear the denial to accepting it all throughout the record. “Just get by….” “I don’t wanna just get by…”” etc .

Then with Going To Die it’s such an encapsulation and final positive almost anthem. The lines about him missing his dad and friends who’ve passed but he’s still invigorated with life. Good stuff. Dudes rock.

Between the Richness is my favorite, but I like this one a lot too.

its way too early for me to say but early impressions for me are that richness has higher highs but this one is more consistent throughout.

it's took me a few listens to get into it compared to BtR grabbing me instantly. but this has hooked me, the drums sound incredible

I agree. This album is really good but between the richness was a top album of 2021 for me.

I’ve always enjoyed this band, but I’d say this is the record that made me really become a fan

BTR hit me like a ton of bricks on first listen. This is great but not hitting quite the same. Still, this is a 9 and BTR is a 10 for me. They’re one of my current favorite bands and Pat really nails all the things that come with fully moving into adulthood.

I love the final 5 song run on this album so much. Flying home in September to catch them at Edgemen, can't wait to hear the new songs.

  12. This is damn good. Unfortunately I can’t make the Boston show next week which burns me out but hopefully I’ll see them soon.

Clips from the Boston show looked nuts and the setlist looked damn near perfect. Going to snag the tour pressing when I catch them next week.

    idk man

Completely forgot to mention this after the NYC show, but Patrick was getting pissed that there was a barricade at the Webster Hall show and he noted that they are playing in New York in December somewhere where that "wouldn't be a problem."

Two more shows, Pawtucket & NJ! Pumped they added the RI date cuz I totally forgot I have a D&D session the same night as the New Bedford show:

Pat had to leave tour early tonight due to a family emergency, now the final show of tour is going to be guest vocalists. Looks like the singer from Basement, not sure who the others are?
