Focusing on 'broadcasting their message' rather than writing good songs.

I'm starting to hate this band more than is merited but that it came from a good band splitting up and now seems to be getting more opportunities than they did...fuck that.

 

Letlive had more powerful songs and messages

 

And the messages meant more BECAUSE the songs were more powerful. When your songs suck, who cares?

 

I was told Jason is open to letlive. coming back one day, my only hope is that the fever will build up a bigger audience for letlive. to be received better if that day comes.

 

Rather than be mad for no reason I'm going to continue to be happy for Jason, Stevis and Aric now that they're experiencing a level of success they haven't had before

I’m not personally mad, can’t speak for anyone else here... I don’t personally enjoy this project but I’m still glad Jason is having success. I wish I enjoyed the music, but I’m still happy for them, and I still have Pressure Cracks which I enjoy.

I’ll listen in a bit, trying not to get my hopes up... it is the first single from a new album, so if it’s an improvement maybe it’s a good sign.

 

Well fuck me... the new song is fantastic! And yeah, this being the lead single for their debut full-length is a great sign. This is the Jason Butler I missed!!

 

I was going in with zero expectation until I read this, luckily I enjoyed it.

wish i had a better way to express this but like it doesn't sound like a human wrote it? i like it more than the other stuff but something just feels really off about it

 

Also, how are you going to get a drummer as insanely talented as Aric and have the drums sound that mundane? That's almost criminal hah
