This isn't anywhere near the standard of music Jason was making with letlive but I am enjoying this. Just glad he's still making music!
Man, I've seen loads of people who seem to be all in on this and I really do not understand. And yep @Jake W - that song is terrible. I've no idea what they were even trying to achieve there.
Saw them tonight in Brooklyn. Hella entertaining show. I think they played for about 40 minutes. Basically the EP and a bunch of stuff that's going to be on the debut album. I can see Roadrunner doing big things for them.
band uses way too much backtracking live, jason's speeches seemed kind of contrived. wish them all the best with the band, just going to step out for good
Shower thought of the day is that The Fever is like a version of letlive. without any of the important stuff or nuance. It's like the episode of the Office where Kevin doesn't speak in full sentences. "why waste time, say lot word when few word do trick?" he put a lot of quality stuff into letlive. But why waste time making something cool when this trash gets him picked up by Roadrunner, Barker, Feldman, etc. Idk just came to mind today lol
Feldman was one of Letlive's biggest supporters from the start. This is basically a continuation of If I'm the Devil... but a bit more accessible. I can see this doing very well.
The Fevers live show seem to be packed, so they’re finding an audience. But that’s not a surprise. Doesn’t change the fact that the music is still awful, though.
I know exactly what you mean! It feels kind of... empty? I do like it but there's nothing that will make me come back to it in a few months whereas I still listen to Fake History and TBB frequently.
