Oh man! Y'know, I get to Gainesville around 5 o'clock and then have dinner reservations somewhere at 7...

What time does the show start? 8 probably?

The Looseys pre-fest has doors at 7, featuring Death Lens, Nightmarathons, Broadway Calls, Boss’ Daughter, and Gun Died Laughing

Boca Fiesta Pre-Fest 9pm featuring DFMK, The Eradicator, Chinese Telephones

High Dive Pre-Fest Doors 4:30 featuring MakeWar, Dollar Signs, Taking Meds, Worst Party Ever, Debt Neglector, Virginity, Bandaid Brigade, Suck Brick Kid, Talk Me Off, Zach Quinn, Danny Attack, Short Fictions, Brian Wahlstrom

These are the Thursday pre-fest shows that I know of

Those line-ups are wild! The one at Loosey's has the band I'd be most excited about catching (Broadway Calls) but that High Dive line-up is ridiculously great overall from top to bottom.

Dang - I'm flying from Toronto and staying in Orlando overnight on Thursday but would've loved to catch Broadway Calls and avoid the Friday conflict..

I fly into Jacksonville late Wednesday night, and will be in Gainesville mid-day Thursday so I'm definitely hitting one of these up, just not sure which one. Going to assess which one will alleviate the most conflicts during the actual Fest, kinda leaning towards Loosey's now just because its a bit of a better hang, with a much better beer selection than High Dive, those are the kind of deal breakers that make a difference

As expected they swapped Crime In Stereo and Pears. Stoked to be able to see the whole CIS set now

And now there is a Spanish Love Songs acoustic set Saturday night

Real glad they just swapped out the two bands. I would have preferred it be Such Gold (who I want to see but would skip to see Strike in a heartbeat) but still works just fine for me! I plan on watching the bulk of IATA and then heading over to Knocking' Boots for Pears.

That SLS set is tempting but uh... I'm already nervous about the line haha.

Any idea if there are capacity limits for bars/venues in Florida? We still have distancing limits in Canada but from what I can tell from bands' IG stories, that doesn't seem to be the case in the US. Really trying to avoid being in a tight indoor crowd next weekend..

There is none of that in Florida.

Yeah there is not a chance in hell of getting into the SLS set unless you're there a couple hours early which is definitely not worth it to me lol

Surprised that wasn't a mystery set

Figured as much - glad I'm able to stick to most outdoor venues. Only planning on seeing Makewar, Broadway Calls, Telethon, and CIS inside.

I guess the mystery sets are so secret anymore LOL, wouldn't mind more leaks...just sayin! Hoping their mystery set doesn't clash because I was likely going to miss their regular set since they were sandwiched between Soul Glo and A Wilhelm Scream and it is hike down to Heartwood and back just to catch a couple songs

mystery sets always get revealed at the very least the morning of, but often times bands will leak them too. I'd personally prefer when they just announce all the mystery sets ahead of fest so you can align your schedule accordingly (can skip a band Friday if you can catch their secret set on Sunday)

Would be nice to know if Kill Lincoln was playing a mystery set. I would love to check out The Wonder Years at Fest, but that would mean skipping KL which isn't going to happen

TWY is definitely not going to one, so I also hope KL does one

Highly doubt TWY ever plays Fest again though :( definitely one of the shittiest conflicts

Eve6 and best of the worst are dropping, they got Covid.

What is the bigger troll move Eve 6 getting added or Eve 6 dropping after all of this?

Huge bummer though was really excited for the Sound System cover w/ WATU, the general antics of their set and whatever GB song they were going to cover

Where are you seeing this? I’m still seeing Eve 6 on the latest schedule update.
