I have a great old version of Abba Zabba with a different but also cool chorus. And before the album they played the Tearjerker riff an octave up, but I don’t have an mp3 anymore. There was a really cool song that didnt end up on Lechuza, i dont know what it was called but in the chorus Will sang master p “make em say ungh na na na na”. Id love to hear that song again
Here's a 1999 version Here's a 2000 version That channel might have a couple of others, too. Even though it changed a bit, it sounds more "complete" than the early version of Phoebe Cates.
Ok I had no idea about Denver Harbor. Listening now and this is fantastic! I'm about 20 years too late but it's so good to hear Will again. Scenic might be on repeat for me the rest of the summer.
I remember making my dad drive out to a Best Buy while I was in school to grab a CD copy of Scenic for me so I could get it signed for a show of theirs. Love Will and everyone else in that band - they were all mega nice and chill :)
Scenic was such a staple in 2005. Whole record is so quality. I missed them most of the times they played in AZ but I did catch them with Sum 41 when they were promoting Chuck and it was a hell of a show. First exposure to Ilan Rubin too - I remember being really hyped on him thinking he was the next Travis Barker lol
Discovered Denver Harbor in summer 2016 thanks to this site and yea….it was on repeat for rest of that summer that ended with my road trip from Boston to LA. Thanks for reminding me this exist again!
I remember Denver Harbor opened for Fenix TX at one point when they did their first reunion tour. Damon had to leave to tour early, so they just swapped out Aaron Rubin for Adam Lewis between sets. Seems like Allister played that show too, but I could be wrong about that. Good times.
I remember being so hyped for Denver Harbor when it game out and grabbed it release day at Best Buy. Still a fantastic record. Really hoping Drive Thru presses Fenix TX (self titled) on vinyl soon. Classic record. That and Enema of The State and Midtown's Save The World Lose The Girl were soundtracks to my Sophomore year. Lucky I got to see Fenix TX open for blink twice. I also saw them headline a tour (pretty sure it was called Destroying America in 2001). A little unknown band called Good Charlotte was the opener. My how those tables flipped real quick.
Allister was the headliner I think. Day At the Fair played too. I caught the first or second show of that tour in KC. Pretty sure Will lost his voice on like the third or fourth date. I could be wrong about that but I remember reading a headline and thinking, wow glad we caught the first show of the tour.
that's correct it was the 'before the blackout after the break up tour'. Allister & FTX co-headlined, and houston calls, day at the fair, & denver harbor (i think was on some dates as well) all opened. hell of a line up! i went by myself because my friends had no taste and i wasnt missing that show haha
Fenix TX was my first punk show. They were with Guttermouth, US Bombs, and The Deviates for the Punk-O-Rama tour (summer of 2001 I think). Still the most interesting concert experience I’ve ever had. This picking up has brought me some good memories.
self titled is better in my opinion. Such a great sing a long album. Flight 901 is such a kicker too.
Lol nope they dodge those comments and anything about will honestly I think will’s daughter had made a comment a while back if I’m not mistaken on their IG or her story etc
Listened to Lechuza yesterday for the first time in probably 10 years. It's a top 20 pop punk album of all time. Bummed that Spotify only has the censored version though.
