Zella Day makes really great pop music, I listen to her album 'Kicker' all the time. Also love Sky Ferreira, Bully, Tweens, & States
Setlist: 1. Desire (0:00) 2. Motel (5:02) 3. Go (9:48) 4. Feather (13:04) 5. I Really Want You To Hate Me (18:48) (the ending is killer) 6. Lemon Eyes (23:32) 7. Sorry (27:50) 8. Heart Heart Head (31:56) (another killer ending) lmao at 27:20 "We have two more for you... for your pretty little faces. I just want to squish 'em! "
my sentiments exactly hahaha. Better than nothing I suppose. Don't really know him personally, just through a music group on facebook haha
Have you tried marina and the diamonds at all? All 3 of her albums are completely different but you may find something to like. I know I do go on about her, but only cause there's little discussion. (And I don't need the same people coming in saying they don't like her, I know already) -_-
Saw Summer Cannibals open up for The Thermals last night. Total quality experience. RIYL: Sex Bob-omb, The Breeders, Sleater-Kinney, The Thermals, 90's garage rock in general
I reuploaded it in much better quality and it should be at the same link and replaced the old video. I had uploaded it to youtube as well but it got blocked due to a copyright claim by Coachella.
Can people recommend some female artists/fronted bands? I don't have too many I noticed the other day. My list of female fronted music I currently listen to is Candy Hearts, Chvrches, Eisley, Hop Along, Kye Kye, Lana Del Rey, Lights, Melanie Martinez, Of Monsters and Men, Paramore, PVRIS and Ryn Weaver.
I loved Foxes in the FOB song she was in. Definitely looking into her. And I've been meaning to get into Grimes for awhile. I'll check out the other two also. Thanks :)
Meg Myers, Wolf Alice, Garbage, Rilo Kiley, Ms Mr, CHVRCHES, Metric, Shiny Toy Guns, (more-so their stuff with Carah Faye Charnow on vocals). I can probably think of some more with more time lol.
