I'm a 50ppp man back on ap, but I think 25 is fine for here. There's so much space between content it makes 25 look and feel perfect.
Re ppp, if there were a jump to top of page (at least for mobile) that would be rad as 45 is a good number per page but a bit of an ass to scroll up through
I don't know about Android, but on iOS you can hit the status bar/time at the top of the screen to do this. On a Mac command + up arrow will do it as well. There's probably a Windows equivalent.
There's an app called OneClick Scroll that allows you to tap the status bar to go to the top of the screen but your device needs to be rooted to use it.
How to quickly go to top of page in Firefox for Android [Tip] | Reviews, news, tips, and tricks | dotTechdotTech This is what I could find, not sure if it'll help.
Just found out that if you select part of a post "Quote | Reply" comes up. That's a fantastic feature. I think a chorus cheat sheet page with all these little features would be a great idea.
That's not a bad idea. I'll see about writing something of the basic "this wasn't on AP.net" but is here faq.
@Jason Tate One thing I thought about last night was making the mini-profile more transparent so the cover photos could be seen a little better. @schlotty just has an awkward cover photo in the mini-profile without having more context to it haha
The cover photos look great on mobile but yeah they are cropped weird in the mini profile on desktop and I think they're also stretched kinda weird on the main profile on desktop (I still can't get on the desktop site like half the time lol so I can't check). Not a huge deal tho, also could he that I just picked one with a resolution that looks weird in the full profile
Is there a way to maybe be able to re-size an image if embedded? I ask because if images are taller than they are wide, and good resolution, they take up a hell of a lot of space in the post. For example, I wanted to post this in the beer thread, but it's fucking huge and I couldn't scale it down
You can attach it to the post and insert the thumbnail as on possible way. However, you're right, the height thing wasn't set correctly. I'm going to add a max height to the images to fix that right now. May take a minute to reset.
Is it possible to attach straight from a url? Or would I essentially have to save the image, upload it, then insert thumbnail?
There is not a way to attach from a URL at the moment. The correct max-height should now be set to fix that and give a more reasonable look for images that are super tall on both desktop and mobile.
I played around with a few versions of the transparency and anything less I felt like dramatically hurt the readability of the mini-profile in general, which to me is paramount to preserve. The cover on the mini-profile was more of a way to add a little personality to it, but it's always going to look better on the profile or mobile versions because of where and how it's used.
Yeah, looks like the image you're using was like 800 px wide, and I'd definitely recommend going at least 2000px. I found a more high-quality version of that photo and put this together if you wanna use it. If you're not on desktop and can't add it, I can do it for you. Speaking of not being able to view desktop, are you on a PC or a Mac? If Mac, could I convince you to open up Terminal (spotlight, type terminal should work) and then type "ping forum.chorus.fm" (no quotes) into it for me? I want to see if your computer is even seeing the right thing. It should give you something like: 64 bytes from 45.79.64.182: icmp_seq=0 ttl=54 time=34.275 ms If PC you should be able to go Start > Run > type "cmd" (no quotes) and get a similar box to type ping forum.chorus.fm in. I'd like to start there with troubleshooting. Also let me know if you're using a Mac or PC when you respond so I can give you better options to try.
