Also, where the hell is the lady that was trapped in the cage with the zombies? I'm blanking on her name but she just wasn't there when Daniel showed up.

I was wondering where she went as well, could be she just wasn't in the shot?

 

I guess, just seems weird that she wouldn't have been there.

Would have made sense if she showed up but as herself, then we realize Daniel was seeing the zombies in their human form and he was attacked as he lit everything on fire.

 

Did you like the mid season finale?
While I enjoyed the episode it was a bit of a clusterfuck and tough to follow, they seem to be doing what season 4 of TWD did and having the main cast separate into several groups. I'm not sure the characters are strong enough or developed enough to pull that off but I hope i'm wrong.

 

The show has been on for 16 episodes already but none of the characters are really doing anything, I don't know how else to explain it.

By the time TWD was at it's 16th episode, we were at the 2nd season mid-finale...and we were WAY more invested with them for whatever reason.

I didn't like this episode what so ever, nor do I like the show as a whole. I'm watching it because it's on...really no other reason. I am curious to see where they go with the second half since their filming location is far different than the first half.

Strand remains as the best character who is both the most interesting and showing the most range in his personality and his actions. Nick has a following among fans, but I really don't see why; his naivety towards EVERYTHING is getting pretty fucking stupid and for a moment, I was certain he was going to die.

Daniel on the other hand, developed this weird mental issue and is seeing shit, but he's probably dead so who cares.

Chris is a piece of shit, but Travis is doing what most fathers would actually do. Yea he's with Madison, but they have no blood ties to each other so who gives a shit.

I'll list out the characters from both Walking Dead series so we can compare.

At this time during TWD's second season we had the same amount of core characters with some supporting (Hershel and his family). The similarities to FTWD is pretty hard to miss with this mansion taking the place of the farm. I mean shit, both locations are housing zombies and both locations were liberated of said zombies by the mid season finale.

 

I enjoy the show well enough, but its no where near as good or gripping as the original. I feel like the story arcs are played out to fast, something happens and it finishes twice as fast.

I remember you mentioning seeing filming locations earlier in the thread, how are they really different? Sorry im unfamiliar with Mexico

 

What a truly bizarre show.

 

Well so far we've been on the coast line, yacht, and a small island. Right now we'are in some little town down in Baja California (just south of the US/Mexico border).

The filming locations I've seen were in Rosarito, Baja CA, Mexico (about 45 minutes south of border) on top of a parking structure and again on the beach but next to some huge hotel. So I'm not sure what exactly they're doing, but it's safe to say they've hit "main land" Mexico in the second half of the season. In other words it's more city than the rural landscape we've seen so far.

By the end of the first half of season 2, some serious shit went down in TWD.

One of the worst episodes of a show I've seen in a long time.

Seriously, the SELF damaged drug addict story is not interesting. On top of that, he wants to be a zombie? Can eat a freshly dead dog but puked up some cactus?

Just don't buy it. "I want to go where the dead aren't monsters." Well they are, they eat the living, period.

We leave off at a Mexican Alexandria but maybe 1/4 the size.

 

Certain cactus's make you sick if you eat them, I believe.

 

Alright well touche on that, but still, the episode was complete garbage.

 

I forgot this was coming back on and strangely I am ok with it

 

I'll watch next week because I want to see what the main cast is up to; the premier followed the drug addict and his longing walk with the dead.

 

YUP. I'm good. Already saw Rick do that in the prison for 3 episodes.
