Took way too long to see a wholly enjoyable episode. Again, Colman Domingo is great and when the cast has SOMETHING to do they're absolutely on.
20 days, seriously? What about the time it took to set up military perimeters and curfews? In season 1, I remember Travis and co. talking as if it's been a couple of months or so living behind the fences in their neighborhood...I could be wrong though. This show needs a major death, and with only THREE FUCKING EPISODES LEFT, there had better be some serious shit go down. I lol'd when Nick and that other guy showed up on the small boat and completely nullified the immediate threat aboard the Abigail, but obviously that weird guy Connor is gonna have some retaliation. I don't know, the show is weird, but this group is 100 times smarter than TWD group in terms of dealing with the zombies so early in the timeline.
There is 11 episodes left, season 2 is 15 episodes. They are just breaking it into 2 like the normal TWD. Season 3 will be 16.
Wtf, why do they even do this? It's ALMOST alright for TWD to do it since they break around the holidays. The commercial was misleading in saying "only three episodes left", no mention of a mid-season or anything.
Lol yeah at least the midseason break makes some sense for TWD with holidays and football. Is this show that gripping where it can take a break just because? Ugh lol
It's because starting in June there airing Ride with Norman Reedus in that timeslot. Makes sense since its a show where he rides his motorcycle around the country learning about motorcycle culture.
What has happened this season so far, seriously? We've been on a goddamn yacht for multiple episodes now and the only threat so far is a group of people that we saw coming a mile away. Oh, and I love how Alicia looked to be in deep thought when those guys first boarded. I immediately said to my wife "she's going to recognize his voice, walk up and stare and ONLY say his name." I hate that this show is THAT predictable. Then she goes on to say she trusts Jack...ok, based on what exactly? Another thing, why the fuck is everyone the same age/look? How is it that there are two characters in the same episode that look similar!? I'm talking about Jack and Nick. There is no diversity in this show and they're striving to go for the stereotypical southern california archetypes. It still bothers me to no end that Nick is an addict, by the way.
I just rolled my eyes when she said she trusts him. Also what does Ophelia bring to the table? She just sits there and puts pressure on her shoulder, literally.
Laughably bad and just so "tropy". Strand is still my favorite character, but we'll see what happens with him.
Nick and Strand are my two favorites not just because I feel they both have been bringing the most to the show but it has me genuinely excited to see how the connection they formed with each other from the beginning plays out. Daniel is also really cool.
They need a death but I doubt it will come from our main family. By that I mean Travis or Madison or their kids. I would say Strand would be likely but they just showed that he's gay and haven't people been up in arms lately about television shows killing gay characters? Ophelia could get killed but no one would give a fuck. So I think that means Daniel is going to get the boot soon. Midseason finale maybe.
Haha that's been my guess too. Daniel could be an interesting long run contribution to the group, but his death would make sense and could open the door to more development for Ofelia. Honestly would not mind it if Chris bit it even though I know he won't.
Oh yeah he absolutely does contribute, which is why I think he would make a good contribution to the group in the long run, but I feel like he's got a bullseye on him. His daughter feels that way too right now, but it's hard to tell with how small this group is. I feel like there's no way they'll kill anyone in the main family for a while even though I could really care less about any of them. Like you said, I'm really not invested in any of these characters either.
I definitely think Travis and Madison are safe. Nick, yes. Alicia I'm not so sure about. I hope Chris goes. Dnaiel I think is safe. His daughter I couldn't care less about, so hopefully they won't waste it on her. And Strand is too interesting to kill off.
I hope they don't kill off Alicia simply because she was Lexa on The 100 and she's a good actress. Sure she's wasted here, but at least she's still on my TV. Then again, maybe if they kill her she'll land a better role somewhere else.
Also a possibility that she's taken, but not killed - so they spend a few episodes trying to find her.
