Was not expecting an Aisha Tyler cameo. Didnt recognize her at all when she first appeared on screen

Okay so season 7 was definitely a step down storywise. Felt like they created their own self contained world within the bombs and it made for some worse story telling. It felt to me that they didn’t really know what to do with that so they just made Strand a villian again. And the characters just all made some bad choices for the sake of convenience, and yeah. I still was entertained but it felt like a let down after how good 6 was. Having Madison come back in the finale was cool, but hated her situation.

Was shocked at the time jump for season 8, didn’t realize that was a thing. Didn’t really love the first episode, but 2 was decent and 3 was good. Was happy we got the backstory to Padre, didn’t think all would be revealed. Didn’t really like the reveal itself, and how they just gave up on the hostage situation and let the guards come in and disarm them. Kinda dumb lol. But liked it otherwise. Will be interesting to see how it wraps up.

Seasons 7 & 8 are some of the dumbest tv I’ve ever been invested in. Cartoonish dialogue, super shallow characterisations, boring camera work, cheap-looking colour grading, and w/ season 8 specifically—too many precocious little kids

One episode I legitimately really enjoy though is S7E8 where we learn what happened to Alicia inside the bunker. Tonally it felt like a Syfy movie, and I think if the show would’ve continued with that same degree of camp it still wouldn’t have been good but it definitely would’ve been more fun to watch

Bringing Troy back still irritates me, but at this point I just pretend seasons 1-3 are canon while the rest are fan fiction

Yeah the story telling in 7 and at times already in these first three episodes of 8 is just so lazy. So many choices made by characters just to get the story to the next part lol.

Agreed on the Alicia episode, enjoyed that one. Dorie Sr's episode was decent too, though again plagued with choices for the sake of making the story happen IIRC. But I really liked his character and the death was sad.

I will not look at that spoiler haha. Season 3 really was peak of any of the world's shows. I think I remember 4 being good too. I just went back and looked and I completely forgot that Morgan meets John Dorie and Al in the Season 4 premiere. Forgot they had all been together that long.
