There's not much rationalization behind Nick's actions except he's obviously experiencing a mental break. I mean, I get what you're saying but I feel like it's looking too much into it. Honestly, I'd say that it's more illogical for Rick and co. to go for 4/5 seasons without trying it again. Also I don't believe it has anything to do with the actual blood but rather the smell.
I haven't been able to bring myself to watch the newest two episodes. I have them DVR'd, but really have no motivation to catch up on them.
My point is that Nick is shown with wet blood on his body/in his hair even though he's spent the day in the hot sun. It's more of an error with the make up department rather than a plot hole or anything like that. With Rick and co, they've gotten better with navigating through the zombies and I guess they just don't care about avoiding them any longer; they'd rather take em out.
Best part of the show is the Latino exposure. I'm still not sure why daryl never showers in twd. It's disgusting and he has access to one. Nick at least doesn't really at this point. Even when he does try to wash up his face is like so layered with blood it's still stained on which grosses me out lol. Also getting drunk when there's lots of zombies around is so stupid.
And yet another episode that leaves you wondering wtf you're watching. Travis should just kill his son, I mean seriously. He's such a little shit that assumes he knows exactly how this new world works and what it takes to survive. Sounds a little like Nick, doesn't it? I bet the writers are trying to show that how these two guys, around the same age, deal with their new environment. Whatever they're doing, it isn't working, and it's coming off laughable. I don't know what can be done to salvage the mess that is FTWD.
I think the side characters they meet are more interesting. Like I already enjoy the hotel lady more than most of the mains lol And yeeeeah travis' son needs to go. The worst.
The dudes from San Diego are fucking idiots. I think FTWD is trying really, really hard to introduce villains into a world where you REALLY don't need any.
Sure Travis should kill his son based on what we know. But put yourself in Travis' shoes. He'd never just off his son like that. Maybe it's something that happens down the line but he's not just going to give up on him so soon.
Calling it now that Travis is going to have to kill Chris in order to save whoever is on the other end of Chris' pistol. There has been some foreshadowing already last season with Chris, Madison and Alicia involving a knife. Also, is Travis for sure trying to wait for a good time to go back with Madison? He has no idea where they are now, but there is no way they stay apart for the remainder of the show.
I don't know why I continue to watch this show but I do. I don't like a single character & the "bros" this last episode were so stereotypical it was nauseating. Chris definitely needs to go. Such a little shit & a crappy actor IMO. One of the mains needs to die or something substantial happen to keep my interest.
My biggest gripe is the constant reminder of drugs when dealing with Nick. Whether it be him dealing with his addiction or how he is a pseudo pharmacist, his story is just plain dumb. Oh and he's cutting up a line in the next episode...so we get a potential relapse and probably another withdrawal scene. The highlight of the entire show was the military take over of the residential neighborhood for what was it, months? I can't remember.
Actually, and this is still the worst/funniest aspect of this show for me, at this point in the timeline of the show we are currently only 25 days in. They were only under control of the military for about ten days. Things apparently ramped up on this show REALLY fast. Chris was just waiting for his chance to morph into a murderous psychopath in the matter of three weeks. Travis, if there is anything good you do in this terrible show please let it be killing your dumb son.
Indeed. The showrunner, Dave Erickson, had this to say about it after the FTWD midseason finale back in May: Where Fear The Walking Dead Is Currently At On The Walking Dead's Timeline - CINEMABLEND There's also a timeline of events you can read up on: Fear The Walking Dead Timeline
How convenient there was a air vent big enough to crawl through with a dead walker in it. This show is liek a soap opera you know what happens before it happens.
Oddly enough, they do still have a lot of viewers for this. I gave up because I can't take two imconsistent zombie shows.
It's almost like this show goes out of its way to make its characters unlikable. The crap with Madison turning on the hotel lights to bring back Nick while ignoring her other kid was a perfect example. I really want to like this show, but there is no one to root for. I wouldn't be bothered if any of these characters died. That is where The Walking Dead (for all its faults) still works for me. I like a good number of the characters and it would be a shock to see them killed off.
I didn't have a problem with that. She didn't give up on Nick when he was a drug user. This behavior is consistent with their pre-zombie life. Why would she forget about him? And the other kids obviously feels the pain of being overlooked.
True it is consistent with her previous behavior, but it is a character trait that makes her unlikable to me.
