The place that tech has come to as field is really disappointing. A lot of important fields (government, healthcare, etc) can't/won't pay what tech companies and startups do. It's hard to see talented engineers working for startups targeted at upper middle class people who don't need another black car/grocery delivery/personal butler app, rather than doing something that makes a difference; but at the same time, it's hard to argue with paychecks. Basically, I can't wait for the startup bubble to burst. I also can't wait for governments (national and local) to start valuing software as infrastructure that needs upkeep and maintenance as much as transit, or something. There's so much that can be done that just isn't.
