Modern Vinyl Casey Bates Podcast Serial Sharing Needles with Friends Are in my rotation pretty frequently.
Any good gaming podcasts? Something besides Indoor Kids. I would kill to have Adam Sessler host a podcast
if you have a playstation, i enjoy PS I Love You XOXO. for general gaming I like Idle Thumbs. PS I Love You XOXO Idle Thumbs
I enjoy GiantBombcast from time to time but I think it suffers from being too long most of time thought. They are funny and informative though.
I back That's Not Metal with Hill and Beez, really brilliant broad music discussion. The Bret Easton Ellis podcast is great as well but on hiatus atm I think.
I completely get that. I think going in new, the run time would be daunting but it's been my favorite podcast from way back when it was The Hot Spot so I always make the time to listen to it. It doesn't hurt that I have plenty of time at work to listen to it.
My rotation: Doughboys How Did This Get Made? Maltin on Movies Shutdown Fullcast The Solid Verbal You Made It Weird Doug Loves Movies CB!B! The Worst Idea of All Time U Talkin' U2 To Me?
My list is: Comedy Bang Bang /Filmcast How Did This Get Made Smodcast Waking Up w/ Sam Harris Hardcore History Star Wars Minute Common Sense Alison Rosen is Your New Best Friend The Rubin Report Cinematic Universe
I only "discovered" Adam Sessler a few months before he quit the video game journalism game and was so disappointed. Such a great voice and point of view. I'm not a big gamer by any means but would definitely enjoy a podcast or really anything from him that gets his voice back in the game. The only video game podcast I listen to is Cool Games Inc. which is way more comedy than gaming.
my favorite podcasts are: -Harmontown -Hello From the Magic Tavern -Doug Loves Movies -Slumber Party with Alie and Georgia -This Feels Terrible -U Talkin U2 to Me (if it ever comes back) -Doughboys -occasionally Comedy Bang! Bang! -occasionally Hollywood Handbook and then there's others I dabble in if I like the topic or guests.
I agree. Jonathan and Seth are probably the funniest people I've ever heard and not just from podcasts, but anything comedy related in general.
Popular: Comedy Bang Bang, WTF, Nerdist, Collider Less popular: Adventures In Design, Wedding Photographers Unite, Going Off Track, Mike & Tom Eat Snacks, Encore
Right on. I think the fact they aren't "comedians" helps it work so well. They're not "trying" to be funny they just ARE funny.
I do. Sometimes their old man opinions on rap bug me but Jensen does give shine to a lot of artists I like. And sometimes Matty toes the line on being offensive but I still like it. I do find it funny tho that they pride themselves on being "first" on things but if they ever got on a site like this or Twitter really, they'd find they're mostly late. Which is fine I still like the show. Looking forward to Jensens book also.
Yeah, they've been early enough on quite a few things though... and have introduced me to things that I wouldn't have known about otherwise (that are not mentioned on this site) - But you're right, they aren't always the earliest on things, and given Jensen's extensive knowledge of hip hop, you'd think he'd be a little more current with his opinions. That being said, I'm a self proclaimed Bunhead and listen every week. Wonder how much longer the show will last now that Matty's married... seems like he's been missing quite a few shows lately.
