Japanese is harder because I’m an uncultured swine. But ramen is UP there, fucking adore it. Same with good udon. It’s just thicker noodle ramen imo. CURRY UDON IS UNREAL. Gyouza dumplings are sexy. Yakinuki restaurants are fantastic because you basically pick your meat and cook it exactly how you like on a hot plate. Gimme ALL that wagyu beef I love salmon sushi. Loooove. Whenever I go to a conveyor restaurants I eat their stock of it. Meat buns!! Fuck they’re good. And everywhere. I’ll get thinking of more. also not Japanese but I’m obsessed with Korean noodles. Though fuck me, Koreans do NOT mess about with spices. I thought Indian was up there. Christ.
How could I forget?! Added. Cornish pasties They have a restaurant where I went to uni that serves ‘man-size’ pasties. They’re basically offensively heavy. Sexy stuff.
Udon is such a great noodle. Basically the only noodles/pasta I don’t love are the impossibly thin kind. Don’t like how the mouthfeel.
Ah yeah. The only time I like those are when you have it like this: Nagashi somen noodles are so fun! They’re put at the top of a bamboo chute with flowing water, like a slide, and they run down the pipe until you catch them with chopsticks and add whatever soup/sauce/flavouring you want.
give me all the spice I think Korean and Thai fucks with birds eye chilis which are hot af but less hot than habenero
Thai chilies are one of my favorite varieties period. So hot but so much flavor, you don’t have to sacrifice one. That’s one of the plants I’ve had a harder time finding lately.
So this banana and pb talk has inspired me. Gonna put my Chef hat on and go fuck around and try to make banana boats or something
