if it makes you feel any better my mom doesn't really have a sweet tooth so you're not the only one whose mind is blown by it haha

Getting a good breakfast is like a battle of trying to combine savory and sweet for me - I'm always trying to get eggs, sausage/bacon, etc. with a side of pancakes/waffles/etc. Fxck now I want breakfast

Some of my favorite lunches to grab on my lunch break:

Caesar salad w/ grilled chicken or salmon
French Onion Soup
Turkey Club
BLT
Cubano
Italian hoagie
Carnitas tacos

 

Smoked salmon everything bagel with tons of toppings is another absolute favorite in the breakfast/brunch/lunch category, but I could eat it for dinner and be happy. I’ve been thinking of making bagels for the first time so I can get my fix now.

 

While we're on the breakfast train I've been obsessed with this bagel combo - cream cheese, bacon, olives and scallions on an egg everything. It's better with an asiago bagel but this is a close second.

One of my favorite dishes is one I've had at Bobby Flay Steak in Atlantic City. It's surf & turf skewers with horseradish honey mustard, and mint oil. It looks like this:

I think I'm going to try to make it next weekend for dinner. The only element I can't figure out is the orange sauce. Knowing him, it's likely a red pepper sauce, but part of me wonders if it's a play on his steak sauce.

 

How have I posted about seafood so many times in this thread without specifying squid??
