Very eager to hear what's coming next. I swear he's playing every festival that exists this summer. I'd say there's a decent chance the new record is out this spring.

 

Such a great song and makes an unbelievable live closer. I feel like it really just captures the essence of all things Father John.

But let's not forget how astonishing it is to see Hollywood Forever Cemetary Sings live.

God dammit he needs to come back asap

Steve Hyden has said he has heard some songs off the new record and said hey were excellent. I trust his FJM opinion.

Also PC is amazing. “So I’m Growing Old on Magic Mountain” is my current favorite.

 

leaving la is my favorite. its the most honest, open heart, self aware song he's ever made.

 

"So I'm Growing Old On Magic Mountain" into "In Twenty Years Or So" is such a gorgeous closing sequence

 

People don't talk about "A Bigger Paper Bag" or "Smoochie" enough

 

Smoochie grew on me big time. A Bigger Paper Bag has been one of my favorites since my first listen.

I like it. I think I read somewhere that this next one is not really a concept album like Honey Bear and Pure Comedy, but I still hope there is some narrative thread that this song fits into.
