Yeah...I love this album. Feels classic tbh. I understand certain criticisms saying it’s bloated, but when it works for me, it really works
pure comedy is gonna be one of those albums a few years from now that people will claim they loved from the start and that it's his best work - type of album that gets that sort of revisionist history I fucking love it.
well I definitely agree - I think that album is one of the best modern indie rock albums we will ever get I'm excited for his next album (this year I guess?) that is a less cynical take on Honeybear
I will happily refer to my posting history right here on chorus dot fm when this happens if anyone doubts that I was on board from the start. (In other words I agree with this post.) The live shows for this album really took it to new heights for me though. It truly feels like a sermon but in a good way.
