Not sure if it was my comment you read but I immediately thought Nirvana when I heard that chord progression, for one reason or another
I thought Honeybear was decent, and really wasn't a fan of Pure Comedy, but this is one of the best records I've heard in ages. Please Don't Die will go down as a classic, I'm calling it.
I really like the chord progression in Mr. Tillman. I don't know how he comes up with something so simple and so new.
This hasn’t quite clicked like Honeybear or PC yet, but I’m really enjoying it. Also, pretty sure Weyes Blood is on the title track.
Yeah I'm waiting but you folks are not making it easy. When I saw the new Kanye album dropped the same day it almost made me want to check out FJM early. But I think I'll wait... God of love give me strength
What's the utility to waiting for releases these days? I still buy albums I love, even if I've been listening to the rip for 3 months prior Not to be morbid but yall might be dead a month from now, do what you love
Part of it is laziness Another part is that when you're putting out music it's nice to have a sacred time where the album is "only yours" and not out for the world yet and I want to respect that time even if it's leaked so it's obviously not just "only his" And a third part is that if I died a month from now I wouldn't be like "Fuck I didn't listen to the new FJM album" But yeah I support everyone's right to do whatever
To be clear I'm not refusing to listen from some moral stance. I'm just a lazy bastard is all it really comes down too. The main computer I use is my work computer so I don't like to download this kind of thing there obviously. I could do it on my desktop at home but it's just a lot of work and my phone isn't synched to that library anymore so it'd just be a whole hassle
Yeah my laziness is that my iPhone is currently synced to my laptop's library and I got a new desktop and pretty much never use my laptop anymore (and it's completely full at the moment) so I don't wanna bother firing up my shitty laptop to download it, or the alternative of moving everything to my desktop and then downloading it
Ah yeah if I could download it at work I would for sure Like in general I don't like to... But I'm too tempted and also don't think Josh Tillman would care
Yup lazy for me. I do all my music listening on Spotify as that's the most convenient way for me to do so.
