Disappointing Diamonds grabbed me most immediately this morning, but driving home it really hit me what a heartbreaker Just Dumb Enough To Try is. Still prefer Diamonds but they're both great. And I still like Mr. Tillman after listening to it again today. Very excited to hear the rest, but yea I probably won't deal with the leak.
Not to jump the gun on this, but I really love this album. Almost as much as honeybear It's the perfect length too. Could see this getting a decent amount of plays daily from me
This album has all the things I like about his last album, and none of the things that I dislike about it. It probably doesn't top Honeybear but it's right up there.
Shit this makes me so excited. Haven't listened to the leak yet. Is there a version with the correct song titles yet? I know they were mixed up before.
Same - just found out he’s coming to Bloomington here in May so I’ll be shelling out money for that this weekend
"You're all I have, so please don't die, wherever you are tonight" w o o f edit: I'm catching a lot more of the lyrics on my second run through and even with a few silly lines, "The Palace" is steamrolling my emotions
Never listened to him before, but a friend was talking about him at a party on New Years. I gave the leak a listen and I really, really enjoyed it!
yeah so this is really good - I didn't expect much since i haaaaated PC. i Just pre ordered the vinyl.
Not everything an artist writes is autobiographical - just because he’s writing about heartbreak and/or divorce doesn’t mean he’s actually experiencing it The last National album was the same way
definitely. jimmy eat world writes fiction from a first person perspective all the time. this... isn’t anything new lol.
Smh all you fair weather fans coming back now that Pitchfork has decided he's good again wow shame on you all this is a joke
Judging by the things hes said about the album before it came out , I don't think this is totally fictional. Not trying to speculate on the state of his relationship or anything, but its not unreasonable to think this is based on actual experiences
