Was going through the FJM sub and it seems like "Just Dumb Enough To Try" is everybody's least favorites. It's almost unanimous. It's a god tier FJM song for me now.
This is pretty much on Honeybear's level for me at this point. Definitely my 2nd favorite, if not working it's way to my actual favorite FJM album. And yea Just Dumb Enough To Try is definitely a highlight of the album.
Definitely close to ILYHB for me. Not sure it will ever surpass it but they're both records I can essentially listen to on repeat without wanting to skip anything. The title track has been the biggest grower for me.
I was singing "speak to me, oh won't you speak, sweet angel?" so much doing stuff around the apartment last night that my girlfriend goes "I love that song too but please stop." Woops.
hah my girlfriend put some of the lyrics of that track in her twitter bio Josh is her "hall pass" haha
John Mayer is hers. She already loved him, but then he shacked up with her favorite band (Grateful Dead) and her ovaries went into overdrive.
I think my favorite part of the album might be the "do do doot do, do do do do" right as the title track starts to fade out. At least, that's the part that I'm constantly singing in my head.
musically for sure that's fair I should have been more clear that the lyricism on that song remind me a lot of how he wrote his lyrics on Honeybear
Sometimes I forget how much fun Fear Fun is and then I see him live and those songs always are a blast
I didn’t get into Fear Fun until after ILYHB blew my mind. I was aware of it but couldn’t get into it. It’s one of my favorites now.
I got into fear fun right before honeybear came out. Fun Times in Babylon instantly hit me like a truck
finally getting into this. god dammit. he's so fucking good. pretty positive this is gonna battle out with TBHC for my AOTY
Pretty obvious connection here, but I just put it together this morning: Come on, I bet you know most of my friends, they're some real exclusive dudes from just around the bend Just know I think about you more kindly than you and I have ever been, and I'll see you the next time around the bend
