Date Night is produced very interestingly. It reminds me of an old stereo cut from The Beatles or something
I’m envious of the connections so many of you have made with this album already. Honeybear and Pure Comedy both struck me in a deeply personal way and this one just hasn’t yet.
TBH I doubted this as a whole after my first few listens. Outside of a couple songs. It has grown on me immensely.
I love the poem zone line. I can picture him singing it and frustratingly slamming his forehead on the piano and then singing "I'm in over my head"
I think you absolutely need date night right where it is on the record. It’s probably one of my least favorite songs on here but it makes the record flow so well.
Well said. It's my least favorite but it's perfectly placed. The sequencing of this record is unreal. Almost on a ILYHB level
Beatles vibes all over this. man, it's awesome that you can actually hear how uncomfortable he is just being vulnerable at times
I’m really enjoying this and getting some weird elton john vibes from a few songs, for sure was not expecting that.
Just grabbed the vinyl, sounds so damn good. Some artists’ sound really lends itself to vinyl and FJM is one of them.
This is amazing. Pure Comedy didn't hit me as hard as Honeybear but this hit me like a ton of bricks.
