Seeing him tonight! I see he’s playing please don’t die at some shows and I really hope he plays it tonight. Probably my favorite of his.

I saw him Tuesday and he covered "Darkness on the Edge of Town," which was really cool. HIs band is fire, sounded great

Edit: found a video of it on YouTube

Going on Tuesday in Grand Rapids, very excited! I saw a chunk of his set at Riot Fest in 2018 and since I've really enjoyed his stuff.

What a fucking show. A perfect setlist. He played please don’t die! The crowd absolutely sucked though and probably 1/3 talked throughout the entire set. I truly don’t get spend $50+ to just talk the entire time. Regardless it fucking ruled. What a performer.

Normalize politely asking talkers to be quiet. I do it at every show.

I did several times and it didn’t last. There were so many 50ish year olds that seemed like they were on their one night out for the year and were hammered and wouldn’t shut up. I did laugh because when I was coming back from the bathroom half way through his set there was a group coming in and said “he’ll probably play total entertainment forever next” because they were looking at the previous night’s set list not realizing he played it already and that he changes it up every night. Idiots.

Indie rock club show crowds are fucking INSUFFERABLE. Going to the same venue on Tuesday that I saw Death Cab at and, while the band sounded amazing, the crowd was annoying as hell.

Bummer, at least you tried. Everyone on the internet is always complaining about talkers but never does anything about it in the moment. No one at the indie sad boy show is gonna throw hands if you’re polite about it.

yeah I tried. There was a group of 3 middle aged ladies that were the worst. Several people asked them to be quiet and they would be for a song and then start talking loudly and laughing. They were there for the 3 songs they wanted to hear and didn’t care about anything else.

Truly blows my mind, man. And I feel like it keeps getting worse somehow. I sincerely don’t understand.

  18. If anyone misses the Fear Fun sound, this will absolutely scratch that itch. Awesome record. Sounds like Real Estate doing FJM karaoke with slide guitars. Super dreamy and twangy.

  22. Revisited God's Favorite Customer and this today. GFC is almost perfect, I have a soft spot for the other two as well but GFC is probably his best and most consistent after Honeybear. This is a good album, but pretty easily his weakest, and the best five-six songs here would make an excellent EP. I'm glad he switched it up and tried something new, but I wouldn't mind some different vibes on the next one.

  23. Supremely fucked that Honeybear turns 10 next year. I remember listening to the album leak in my sophomore dorm and writing my review for AP.net
