Hopefully they do get to finish this in the most expensive and dumbest way possible. It wouldn't be right otherwise.
It was cool hearing Cena talk about liking ice cream in Chinese, but apologizing in Chinese merely because he said Taiwan received the film first…woosh.
Back to being an actual grounded crime story about the grimy world of underground LA street racing? Ok I am listening.
They’ve been saying that for a while now but I wonder if they remember they didn’t actually finish the last movie. Like that movie ended with Dom driving an explosion off a dam. You can’t just go back to stealing VHS players to finish the story
I have to imagine Fast X didn't make as much money as they hoped so they're getting a smaller budget and going to the "it's a throwback" to cover for it.
That was why they started saying it. They have become so expensive and interest has waned over the years.
Didn't they kinda add the fantastical element and stopped depicting realistic street racing for a reason? I literally knew a guy in high school who died trying to recreate a stunt he saw in the first couple F&F movies.
The street racing stuff has a more limited appeal. It became an Seven Samurai-style team up in 5 but when it started to get self aware around 8 it wasn't as good.
Watching the whole franchise for the first time this week; hoping to get through them all by Friday or so
Before 9 came out a local theater showed one per week for eight weeks. It was one night per week and no one else made it through them all except me.
My car was in the shop the week 6 or 7 played so I had to pay for an Uber both ways. It was a lot of dedication. They didn't show Hobbs and Shaw, which is probably for the best because I might have walked out of it. My patience was tested with Tokyo Drift. I know some people claim it is great, but that accent is really hard to sit through.
