Finally saw this last night. Loved it as usual. I never go into these expecting realistic outcomes, just pure fun and it certainly didn't let me down. Jason Mamoa and Cena were by far the best characters. Cena with B was a great relationship. Plane obviously killed no one, but I don't see Cena coming back unfortunately. Hobbs return was spoiled, but not really that big of a deal to me. As stupid as I sound, I had no idea this one was going to be a cliffhanger and now I need to wait 2 YEARS?!?!? Also, I'm a Pete Davidson fan and was so surprised and happy to see him in this for a few minutes.
I watched this last night. Momoa is definitely the best part, but I literally cackled out loud when I saw Dom's car just get launched into the air in Rome.
This was dumb fun, as expected. I do like the hand-to-hand fight scenes because you can tell there's actually some good stunt work being employed in those. Cena is a fun screen presence, so it'd be funny if his death is one that sticks. Momoa's cartoonish performance is fun too. Not enough people are discussing the scene where he's talking to a couple of propped up corpses. Absolutely deranged stuff. In the same vein as Dom's photos, it's hilarious that the exposition dump Aimes gives to Tess has screens shamelessly using footage of the previous movies while not even attempting to play any it off as security footage or something that's not fourth wall breaking.
I imagine things like that are somewhat spontaneous and Diesel just says don't worry about it. The kind of stuff that made Lin quit.
Seems likely. These movies are all inherently ridiculous, but it feels like there was a lot more hand-waving than usual in this one.
I know Mamoa’s character was queer coded, but was it implied that was a cause of him hitting his head?! I’ve seen that on Twitter but I must’ve missed that implication/part.
This one was the most fun since 7 and it’s not particularly close. Basically everything in Rome ruled. Mamoa was incredible and I hope he is in both of the final segments. Mr. Nobody is on that sub with Gisele. Everyone in the plane is alive. I wish Cena had made it, but I think that one sticks. Dom and Letty have negative sexual chemistry. Please don’t show any more of this. Whoever called out the avengers endgame Paul Walker return in part three obviously has it right. Truly, would not be surprised to see Dom’s mother as the big bad at the end of all this.
The Toretto mothers' absence in a series that is supposed to be about family is such a strange omission.
The last one ended with a plane crash and a damn blowing up how are they going to go back to the vibe of the first movie?
I finally saw this, went in with very low expectations based on word of mouth and how meh 8 and 9 were, but I fucking loved this. It's a piece of shit. It's a full blown Christian movie. The drone shots look cheap as fuck. A car plays rocket league with a bomb. It literally doesn't have an ending. John Cena needlessly blowing himself up was incredible. The opening set piece is just reshowing the final set piece of a movie from 13 years ago. It's incredible. It's so much funnier that supposedly the next movie isn't even going to continue this story because it didn't make enough money.
Personally I loved Fast X. Just recently watched it again on a flight and it was just as fn. They NEED to finish this story. Momoa was perfect in his role too.
The Momoa scene with the two cops is so fucking absurd, and that’s saying something for a franchise where a man literally fist fights multiple tanks
