I'm starting to think you've been getting mustard this whole time but just never realized it.

 

No, I 100% would realize it. I really am not a fan of mustard on burgers.

 

McDonalds 1000000% has mustard and puts it on the McDouble, Double Cheeseburger and QPC (and maybe other items) at least at every location I've ever been to.

The thing is that they put like 5x as much ketchup as they do mustard so you can barely tell it's there.

I used to order the QPC with no ketchup and extra mustard and they still barely put any mustard on it.

They use mustard, but VERY sparingly.

 

I think this is the answer. They just put such a small amount of it, that the ketchup (and everything else) mostly covers it up.

I think that's part of the "recipe" - That it's supposed to be very subtle beneath the other flavors.

I'm going to order a McDouble when I get my Shamrock Affogato later and take a picture for science

Will also have to get a hot and spicy McChicken to put between the burger patties too, of course

hell yeah. dijonnaise is hella tight too

 

looking at the McDonald's app right now and EVERY burger except for the Big Mac and the Daily Double lists mustard

that's kind of a different flavor profile than just a standard burger

Like, I also love In-N-Out animal style, but that's because the grilling gives it a different taste than just having it on top of a standard burger

Also why does the app not list mustard as an ingredient to be customized on the QPC?
