I'd put it beneath both of these tbh. Can't really explain why I even like it. I actually haven't been there in like 5 years

 

I've only ever had Del Taco once and I would rather have it than Chipotle any day. I'd also rather have TB than Chipotle.

Why all the hate for Chipotle? I don't go there very often at all anymore, but I always enjoy it when I go and it's usually decent quality.

I know we have at least one ex-employee, so I can understand the hate from them, but overall I feel like Chipotle is a fairly solid restaurant for what it is. It's not perfect but it's a solid B+

I know there is unwavering love for Taco Bell, and I can appreciate that, and even understand enjoying it more than Chipotle, but objectively the food at Chipotle is mostly of a higher quality

 

All of this is true. There was a time when people were calling chipotle gentrification and praising taco bell at the same time lol. I don't even like chipotle that much, but that was absurd given Taco Bell's extremely fucked up history.

 

I really like Chipotle. Better than Pancheros by a mile.

 

I know Chipotle is (or at least used to be) kind of up their own ass about how woke they are in regards to sustainability and fair farming practices, and I'm sure they don't fully live up to the talk, but like I said, purely from a taste/ingredients/quality perspective, I think they're pretty solid.

 

They're at least making an effort from what I can tell, which is more than basically every other establishment discussed ITT.

obviously you have a personal reason, but I feel like even the food poisoning thing is weird. Like I get it, you associate Chipotle with being sick, but in most situations, food poisoning happens because of cross contamination or someone not washing their hands. I would definitely avoid that location, but it wouldn't be a company wide problem.

Although, I know Chipotle has had a few issues with people getting sick, but if I recall correctly, the last time it was because of food being left out at an unsafe temperature (at a specific location)

Not calling you out, either. I know that even the sense memory can turn you off to it once you get sick once. It's just one of those things where people write off an entire company because one dumbass at one location used a dirty cutting board or something.

 

no, I gotcha. this was during that time when they had the far-reaching contamination tho. I spent a week in bed wishing I was dead so yeah I have a few bad memories associated with Chipotle but would never judge the entire company on my anecdotal experience because that's silly. just not rushing out to go there either

The last two times (and only times) I've gotten Chipotle, I ended up shitting my brains out within 2-3 hours, and that never happens to me with any other Mexican food, so yeah, fuck 'em lol

Yes! It's good. Pairs v nicely with those heavenly crinkle fries

 

all I remember is I enjoyed it for what it was but i couldn’t see it as a frequent visit
