Snowstorm + living right next to a Popeye’s = 8 minute wait for sandwich. It was divine.

 

Tried going to Popeye's again last night. It was 30 degrees outside (which is cool af for Dallas), 4:00pm, there were 20 cars in the drive thru. I went inside there were only half a dozen people in line so I got in line. Another half a dozen waiting on food. After 10 minutes, one person had been given their order and one other person had placed an order. I decided to give up. When I went outside, the drive thru hadn't moved at all.

I don't get it. Seems like artificial scarcity.

 

I tried to get the Popeyes sandwich just now. They closed the lobby and are only doing drive through. Bailed and headed to Taco Bell

 

lmao they're just doing whatever they want at this point. I think they should just ONLY sell chicken sandwiches until the hype dies down. and maybe limit it to like 3 per person.

idk about all you guys but mine does 10 sandwiches as the max in the drive thru and it shouldnt be that much.

 

I have no idea what the limit is because I've never gotten to the front of the line

It was great. Worth the hype? eh.... I mean, nothing really would be, but it's definitely the best of the fast food chicken sandwiches and on par with most $10+ sandwiches from sit down fast casual places.

It would have been much better with more sauce and more pickles, but I wouldn't bother them with that until the madness settles.

I went at 3:18pm and walked out with a sandwich at 3:34pm so I did pretty good. It wasn't too busy and they were moving people along pretty quickly, but they ran out of change which became a problem for the couple of people in front of me.

I bought 3. Ate one and took one to my dad. One in the fridge for later tonight when I'm nice and baked.
