Cookout is prob #1 on my bucket list of fast food chains

 

I didn't get to dig into it as much as I'd like.

Had a show Saturday night in Manassas, VA, and the intent was I'd go to Cook Out on the way home.

When I got to the venue, it was across the street from a place which was voted Northern VA's best BBQ x number of years in a row (https://www.thebonebbq.com/), so I HAD to give the local fave a spin. And I'm glad it did, it absolutely ruled.

That said, hit up Cook Out post show for a Shake. Had a Banana Pudding shake that rocked my world.

 

That BBQ looks great too. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

 

I miss Pizza Hut. The closest one is like 30 minutes away after having so many local in the 80s and 90s. And they dont even offer dine in at most like the old school ones. Pizza Hut was a stable for me during my childhood and I still think their pan pizzas are far superior to any crap Dominos has to offer. Or Papa Johns or whatever. Just the smell of anything from Dominos makes me want to puke.

Anyone listen to the the Taste Buds podcast with Sal from Impractical Jokers? Highly recommend for any fast food fans. Been a weekly listener for years.

 

They just built a Pizza Hut five minutes from my place. I couldn't believe it given that the last thing I expected from Pizza Hut was expansion. I'm going to have to check it out and relive my 1990s memories. I will always hold Pizza Hut in high esteem if only because of all the free pizza I got through their Book It! program. Pizza + reading= solid combination.

 

I wonder if McDonald’s expected the TikTok folk to turn the grimace shake into some eldritch horror or however it’s spelled

 

Pizza Hut is the best chain pizza hands down. It really makes Dominos look like garbage

 

thats cause Dominos IS garbage lol. I live on the east coast where pizza is king and would go pizza hut over a slice of New York pizza. Yup, I said it. Nothing better than that delicious, baked, buttery crust. You can keep the stuffed crust though. Im old school pan pizza all the way.

 

Every time I get Pizza Hut it gives me the worst indigestion. The sauce they use is way too acidic.

I personally love Jet's.

Pizza Hut is like top 3 least favorite pizza chain for me lol

 

their sauce is too sweet

 

Their sauce is too sweet and the pizza is far too greasy, but I've come around to pizza hut being better than papa J's and dominos. extremely low bar though.

 

Pizza Hut is also expensive as fuck compared to dominos.

 

I'd pay more for better pizza.

I generally get Costco or this local spots pizza but I prefer Pizza Hut over most national chains

I eat ALL sorts of garbage and NOTHING fucks me up quite like Pizza Hut.

 

Dominos definitely fucks me up more, but yeah Pizza Hut is pretty acidic. Which is pretty bad for me since I have moderate to severe GERD

 

Also speaking of that Grimace shake + the Big Mac I got with it last night fucked my stomach up real bad.

 

Got the Big New Yorker from Pizza Hut last night and it was surprisingly good, better than Dominoes Brooklyn Style.

Was craving a quesadilla today which reminded me that Del Taco got rid of the Spicy Jack Chicken Quesadilla. Such bullshit. I was a Del Taco over Taco Bell guy for forever, but they've just shot themselves in the foot over and over for the past 10 years.

 

I love jalapeños but I kinda feel like this sandwich would be better as is, without them.

Will 100% still try one asap though
