this is my completely personal own hot take but I feel like In N Out has gotten worse. It went from an essential top 3 burger to me to now just a decent burger.

 

If I looked at the Mona Lisa on a regular basis, I'd probably stop being impressed after a couple of years.

 

I had it the other day for the first time in a while. It's damn near a perfect burger. I still prefer other things because I ate it so much growing up, but there is a reason it's always packed.

 

yeah. i eat it probably once a month and it always is quality.

 

ken I ain’t going to lie, I think this local place in Fresno has taken my burger heart. They have a monster burger that’s just so damn good and the fries are seasoned amazing.

 

I had in and or out once and it ruled.

 

What's everyone's order?

For the last couple years I've been doing Double Double, whole grilled, add pickles.

 

The order is always double double add chili’s, animal style fries and a coke. You always gotta do Coca Cola or lemonade.

 

Double double with grilled onions, animal style fries, couple yellow peppers on the side. We have 3 pretty close to me and I barely go because it's always so damn busy.

 

Double double animal style with chopped chilis (a 3x3 is a rare treat), light well fries, and coke or dr. pepper.

Sometimes I'll get a black & white shake.

I only eat it twice a year when I'm out west. I saw someone recently say that they get both raw and grilled onions on their burger and I need to try that.

No shame in simplicity. That's the basis for a lot of great cuisine.

I mean I haven't regularly had In N Out in years since I last lived in California in 2008 lol. But we did just move to San Antonio, where there happens to be one, and I was happy to just straight up order a double double without the onion nonsense (I despise onions)

 

i am extremely a burger with one topping kind of person. no fuss no muss. i dont need some towering monstrosity that i need to cut in half and eat in stages.

 

They call the raw and grilled onions Armen Style on Doughboys.

If you haven't tried whole grilled onions I highly suggest, I think it's better than the chopped.

 

Even with all the accoutrements and double patty an In N Out burger is perfectly manageable.

I've never had in and out, all we have is Five Guys out here

 

Haters will say it's overrated, and children will say the fries are bad.

 

Five Guys is good but way too damn expensive
