how does anyone afford doordash/uber eats etc? I barely ever use it but got a coupon in the mail that said $10 off. My order of wings wouldve cost me $25 (with the tip). If I drive myself it would've been like $13. (which is already kinda high for wings but i digress). Like who can afford to cough up an extra $10 for ever meal like that? Obviously the prices are inflated, plus fees, plus tip. It feels an unnecsseary expense
I have Grubhub+ (it was included with my Instacart+ sub). Unlimited free delivery on orders over $12, exclusive special discounts. I typically pay around 20 to 25 bucks an order still. I chose to get rid of my car post-pandemic after i started working from home permanently, so the hundreds of dollars i'm saving monthly not paying car payments/insurance/gas/maintenance makes up for shelling out extra for food delivery.
I have a dashpass that I use a couple times a week but you're right it's very expensive. Wayyyy cheaper than Uber Eats, though. I paid over $50 for a McDonalds order for two people from Uber Eats once because I was super high
Oof I feel the pain. Moderate to severe GERD over here. And yet I really can't turn down a Wendy's spicy nug
What's bad is i never know what's gonna trigger a flare up and what won't. So ordering food is always a shot in the dark.
Five Guys, but you gotta eat it in the restaurant. It's always a soggy fucking mess when I do pickup or delivery, I've given up on getting lettuce now because it gets nasty haha
Also, I had a Wendy's baconater for the first time the other day because doordash was giving them away for free. Was not impressed. The most flavorless bacon I've ever had, McDonalds bacon blows it out of the water
If the McDonald’s choice was a double cheeseburger I would have picked without hesitation. Now I don’t know
I want to pick the DQP just for nostalgic reasons as that was my go to for years, but in reality probably Dave's double. Culver's Butterburger has a weird aftertaste to me. Their patties almost taste like those frozen Bubba Burger patties you get at the grocery store.
In N Out by a very wide margin. Shake Shack would have been close to #1, but they've been canceled for using Martin's potato rolls
I worked at KFC for a few months when i was 17. I used to sneak snack on those potato wedges all day lol.
