I feel so conflicted about using delivery apps because a lot of local restaurants don't offer a good alternative (like having their own drivers) for no contact ordering
Our favorite pizza place down the street from us advertises they're doing no-contact curbside pickup and we've tried ordering from them but they still make you sign the credit card receipt, which I guess I understand from a legal perspective, but some places are making it so hard lol
a place I went to suggested bringing your own pen to sign the receipt or if you can't wear gloves and wash your hands, but yeah I get that it's hard to be safe and also support small businesses I don't fault people for using those apps but they are usurious and it makes me sad
and then some places only advertise delivery because of apps. i call up to place an order and they just direct me to their website which routes me to a delivery app. even before covid
It's just kind of fascinating to see how every restaurant is so different in their level of giving a shit lol. We've ordered from some places that don't care about you signing the receipt, and some places not checking ID at all when your order alcohol to-go
yeah some places are gloved and masked up and some are clearly putting on masks just when customers come in
Gotta love delivering to someone you know and then they tipped you 2.50 you’re like ok now that you saw it was me can you maybe give me more than a fuckin crumb? Thanks
Also I literally had this shit stuck in my head earlier for NO REASON and now it’s on. Do I control the radio?
