my family are all big golfers since they live in a perfect area for it. They said my putting is my best quality right now but I need work on my pitching game and driving game.
most folks are most comfortable at first with putting simply because of your familiarity with mini golf. swinging a golf club correctly is one of the weirdest things to do. its not quite baseball, but you're not quite hitting it like a hockey stick.

My dad bought me a set of clubs when I was young and taught me how to golf pretty well. I remember when I was 12 years old and my dad said that if I could at least tie him in a round of 9 then he’d buy me a new gameboy game and I had my eyes set on the newly released Pokémon Ruby. I finished with 2 shots behind my dad and I thought “wow he will just be so proud that I played the best round ever since beginning to golf he will definitely get me the game” and then he was like “sorry you didn’t tie or beat me.” I didn’t play another mainline Pokémon game until Pokémon X (also Soul Silver, but I had already played Silver and Gold on gameboy). Thanks dad!
I'm a lefty in hockey and lacrosse but a righty in golf and baseball and I'm realizing now that's kind of weird
