I saw multiple pictures yesterday of people who had gone to Disneyworld during a pandemic solely to buy up all of the racist Splash Mountain merch so they could flip it and a few parts of my soul died.

I've been on a 25% pay cut since March and finally, FINALLY I had my request granted for my full time hours back. I am so relieved, this month we are close to not making rent and just whewwww

They put me in the worst fucking position. Others at the company were collecting unemployment (which is fine of course), but then they reduced the rest of us to 30 hours which made it impossible to collect the money back for unemployment despite labor cuts, and impossible to survive on the reduced income. Just livid about how they handled all this.

I remember when my work took away hazard pay and I’m like dorks there are 300 new cases a day now in Fresno and you are just telling me screw my life huh

 

So the tribal government received 60 million or so from the fed government for covid aid which is tight because with all the casinos being closed for an extended period of time it definitely put a strain on money being brought into the nation. Anyways they laid off about 70 percent of the work force permanently for the time being (my sister included) and they said we wouldn’t be getting our quarterly per cap for the rest of the year (when they pay enrolled members)

Well this week someone in the office of the president was funneling an undisclosed amount of money to close friends/family members. Now they fired said person, and are now giving us MONTHLY income for the rest of the year.

the receiving money aspect is nice because we gotta save up for adult things next year, but also just feels like damage control to try and have the members forget that shady business going on in the higher office lol
