I started mandating all of my staff and residents to get their pulse ox done twice per shift per day. We found that low pulse ox was the greatest indicator of potential infection. I know sometimes anxiety related symptoms can mimic a negative respiratory response, but as long as your pulse ox is in the 90's you're good to rock and roll.

 

I get it I've been obsessively checking my temperature every time I cough or sneeze lol
