Really liked the moment between Dot and Gator in the house. I’m curious to know what their relationship was like before she escaped, the way she seemed genuinely surprised to see him felt like she thought fondly of him before. The question has obviously also been lingering about whether or not she’s his mother, but since he didn’t address her as such we can probably say no
i'm assuming there's at LEAST three (gator's mom, nadine/dot, current wife whose name i can't remember) but yeah probably more
Yeah that interaction between the two really intrigued me. I think this is already my fav season. The whole opening sequence of them sneaking through the house, how quiet it was and the traps really reminded me of some Home Alone shit. I'm loving it all.
Three episodes in now. Love how eerie and horror leaning this is while still keeping some dark/dry humor. Juno is 100x better in this than she was in Ted Lasso. Actually really impressed with her (found her obnoxious in Lasso). Embarrassed it took me two full episodes before realizing the one sheriff’s deputy is Steve from Stranger Things.
I didn’t think it was slow, I just fucking hate JJL’s character. Every scene with her is a slog need more Ol Munch
Yeah I didn't think it was slow, I was actually holding my breath in suspense quite a few times there.
If Ole Munch just becomes window dressing, I’m gonna be so pissed. That said, some of the tv critics I’ve seen have said the show gets crazier the more it goes along and i have to imagine he’s a part of that. i like JJL as a vector for the theme of debt that seems prevalent in this season, but a lot of the dialogue written for her character is pretty goofy. But 4/5 episodes have hit so far, so I’m still feeling good overall.
every time jjl, who i love, shows up, i just expect her character to say “m’yeah, see,” kinda one note hacky character
If it’s not revealed that her accent is a put on to seem more upperclass than she is, then this season sucks shit. it doesn’t really justify it, but it’s the only way it’s not truly truly bad.
lol I loved that episode and love JJL’s character. Though I did actually have that same thought she’s purposefully putting on the accent. Her character that is
That would actually be a pretty neat turn of events considering her shock when Dot dropped her fake accent
