Very interested to see how this will tie into previous installments. Even season 3 which was the most standalone of all the seasons had one character from other seasons pop up.
Would be cool to see Charlie some how involved from s2. I don’t think he was ever killed and he was one of the surviving Gherharts. Not sure what his motif would be since KC doesn’t seem to be involved this season. Just would be cool
Yeah after rewatching the show chronologically that was one of my theories is that a much older version of that character will pop up again. I am also sure we will get Mike Milligan again somewhere. I know it was heavily implied that Hanzee's new group took out KC and kicked them out of Fargo sometime between 1979 and 2006. I wonder of we will get a season about that. 10 years prior to 2019 was 2009, which was just a few years after Malvo wiped out Hanzee's Fargo gang. I am wondering if Dot and Tillman's backstory will be tied into the aftermath of that somehow.
I love the geography of this show. I was confused by the Yellowstone like cowboy ranch stuff in ND but I guess the county Jon Hamm is sheriff of is in way western North Dakota, almost Montana.
And I was confused at first by the city scenes, assuming that was Minneapolis, but then realized they filmed in Calgary
Call back to S1 in E2 of this season was subtly exceptional: “oh…yea…I’ve got those vin numbers right here for ya”
Is it worth watching seasons 3 and 4 before this? I know they're standalone but don't want to watch those seasons if they're a slog.
I legit thought the lawyer (who does the voice for Flik in A Bugs Life) was being played by Martin Freeman/Lester from S1.
Enjoying the first two episodes. Not sold on Hamm tho. Feels possibly miscast so far. But we’ll see I guess.
Disappointed that there’s not at least one page on Hamm’s pierced nips. A great couple of episodes so far
I think the idea is that the character is supposed to be pretending like she is old money so she is doing an exaggerated old timely waspy transatlantic accent.
I disagree on Hamm. I feel like he thrives in these dickhead with authority type roles. He was great as the dickish arrogant FBI agent in Richard Jewell.
I have no problem buying Hamm in these authoritative dickhead roles. I do think it’s weird that he almost never plays a good guy
Oh it’s not this type of role, but this specific role. It feels written for someone older in mind. Like a threatening but calm grandfatherly type.
