Yeah, the number of characters is really the only downfall here. I think that each storyline could benefit from more time to grow, but each week one or two has to be sidelined simply for timing reasons
man that first scene was fucking spooky I'm honestly more interested in Mr Snowman/whatever the fuck is haunting Ethelrida and her family than the war lol. although Rock continues to be really great, especially that scene with Odis
i assume they won't even explain the ghost. i just view it as they live in a funeral home and it's haunted
Zelmare said something about the devil following their family wherever they go and we saw it in their hotel room, I def don't think it's just the house. it also feels way too important to just be some random haunted house
Man yeah there are just sooo many different stray characters here that it’s starting to feel like forming a connection with most of them is an inevitable no-go. The pieces are clearly there to connect and have some really crazy sequences occur though, just gotta have faith the Hawley will deliver when the time is right. That all said, I really did like this episode. Feels like things are picking up, and the Milligan/Satchel relationship is a big emotional win for me. Desperately want to figure how Oraetta will eventually meddle with the events of the war
Thought a little more would happen tonight, but looks like we'll have to wait for next week. Still feels like this is moving at a slower pace than necessary. Anybody know why the daughter looked really concerned/terrified standing in their house while stuff was brought in? As for the # of characters argument, the nurse story seems completely unrelated to anything else. And the stuttering cop seems pretty unnecessary as well
I assumed the funeral was for the doctor the nurse poisoned Edit: just read a review that suggested it was because the cannon crew was storing stolen goods there which makes more sense
Josto trying to get Loy to kill his brother by lying about his son being dead was the most Fargo-like moment of the season so far imo, that was a great scene Rock's acting when he beat the guy from Legion up was great
Great ep. Next couple ones are going to be bloodbaths me thinks. Esp when Cannon finds out he was duped.
Yeah his acting last night was really good; earlier in the season I thought he was actually pretty stiff, seeming like he was barely putting any effort into the character, but last night changed that around. Next few episodes should be gooood
"if I knew where your Mormon god was, I'd drive through the night and stab his fucking eyes" was an absolutely incredible line although, related complaint: Deafy has literally done nothing this season except sit in cars and stare at the main characters doing stuff. that really needs to change next ep or they've wasted Olyphant
oh yeah sorry. chewed on carrots menacingly while sitting in cars staring at the main characters doing stuff*
I am enjoying this season but I agree that it seems spread a little too thin with all the characters. I kinda wish this was the first season of a new series rather than a fourth season of Fargo.
Yeah, I’m glad this is picking up but it’s still moving too slow. It’s remarkable how little actually happens in each episode.
