I recently saw her in this and in I'm Thinking of Ending Things and I am absolutely obsessed. Any other suggestions for thing with her in it?
Well if you haven't seen HBO's Chernobyl series yet, do yourself a service - she has a lead role and is predictably fantastic, but the entire show is jaw dropping She's also a great singer, because of course she is
Ohhhhhhh wow. I had no idea she sang also. She's so talented. I have seen Chernobyl but it was a long time ago at this point and I'm not sure I really remember her in it but I did love that show and the performances so it adds up.
She's also really good in Taboo, that weird Tom Hardy FX show where he just grunts a lot I still don't know how I feel about this season. There's flashes of greatness (Pretty much any time Chris Rock, Doctor Senator, Jessie Buckley or Timmy O are on screen) but then there's the insanely over the top brother, fart jokes and generally slow pace. I just don't care at all about the convicts or mortuary family. I feel like there's just so many characters that none of them really get a chance to shine.
Did not make the connection that she was in Chernobyl either. She has very easily been the biggest highlight of this season so far.
The dude that plays Schwartzman’s brother in this looks distractingly like a fucking cartoon character with those constant wide eyes.
I will admit he seemed more interesting in the second ep, and was downright cartoonish in ep3. Though in Hawley I have faith. Overall I loved this ep.
Yeah, I was kind of digging him but once they were in the bar drinking I was like oh, this dude is way too over the top.
I have some concerns as well, but faith in the ability of the people behind this series to tie things together in entertaining and unexpected ways. If you look back at previous seasons, they are the king of the slow play & letting things take time to build up.
He reminded me of the hotel owner in that one Daffy Duck/porky pig looney tunes where they can’t pay their bill so he tries to keep them prisoner. But I just looked that up and I don’t think that’s it either.
all the stuff with the Fadda family is losing me so far to be honest. the brother is insanely over-the-top and just at 200% every scene he has, meanwhile Schwartzman feels like he's on a different show from the rest of the cast (and is insanely outmatched everytime he has a scene with Jessie Buckley lmao). Rabbi Milligan and the henchman he went with on the assassination attempt are great, but those are the only characters I'm really interested in on the other hand the Cannon family stuff is fantastic. Chris Rock killed that scene with the grifter trying to take his money, Doctor Senator's monologue about Nuremberg is one of the best performed and written on the whole show, and whatever's happening with the OCD-etective I'm assuming it will pit Olyphant against Rock sooner or later which is what I'm very eagerly anticipating
Timothy Olyphant in EP3 gives me Justified vibes especially since he is also playing a marshall here as well. Damn I miss Justified.
