Also I really can't wait to see what Chris Rock does with this, I think he's going to kill it. Timothy Olyphant and Jason Schwartzman (who I think is really underrated) both seem like they'll fit right in to the show too
This is looking like another season similar to 2 where there is a frankly huge cast of characters and a sprawling narrative that is larger in scope than season 1 and season 3. Which is fitting, of course, given how this season has always appeared to basically be a prequel for a lot of what happens in season 2. Anyone else think there's a chance that Ben Whishaw's character is going to wind up somehow adopting Satchel Cannon at the end of the season, who will then take the surname "Milligan" and change his first name to Mike? lol
I didn't love these episodes. Especially during the second episode I was just bored. The stuff with Jessie Buckley is definitely interesting, and I thought Rock, Turman and Schwartzman were great...and that ending definitely has me excited for next episode but there's like a million characters already and it's moving at a crawl. Hope it picks up the pace soon
Ducking out of the thread, my series rewatch was set back a bit like a week ago due to some personal stuff and I’m bummed I couldn’t finish in time for s4. Can’t wait to catch up though, hope y’all dug that premiere!
I thought last night's episodes were great, but I do fear that there are going to be WAY too many characters/storylines to follow.
Watched S2 before starting this and as soon as I saw Milligan I knew Mike has to be somewhere in the show. Would bet it’s Chris Rock’s kid but who knows
great premiere only 2 episodes in and Jessie Buckley is the season MVP, she's both terrifying and absolutely hilarious in the same breath
I do agree that episode 2 was kind of boring compared to 1 but obviously we're still setting things up Schwartzman has been my favorite part so far
