Having fun so far.

 

Really love the series. Need to go give Far Cry 2 a shot now that it's BC.

 

I'm in John's region and i have the missions to get the Widowmaker vehicle and Nick's plane back. hope neither of these are too difficult, definitely can't do the convoy missions yet.

my $$ is draining quickly from ammo/medi/armor refills lol

i got the parachute & grapple perks

 

I really am having so much fun with this. I was never able to pinpoint exactly why Far Cry 4 felt like a disappointment to me, but this new one has everything I loved about 3 and more.

 

Just spent 90 minutes in coop hunting. Have $100,000 now.

 

It was a little tedious at first with all convoys attacking me until I got decent guns. Mp5 and the first rifle you can get with scopes did the trick.

I think for me it was the 15 billionth time I heard "This is Rabi Ray Rana and you're listening to Radio Free Kyrat" as I desperately tried to crash my Jeep and smash the radio to pieces.

The repair torch also opens locked doors and safes!

 

Tried out arcade and the 3 maps I loaded up were trash. Hopefully they add curated playlists.

What exactly is Far Cry Arcade? If I go to one of the machines and hit play, what happens?

 

Yup haha. Once you unlock the repair torch, you can use it on safes and locks that don't require keycards.

 

Had a few incomplete Holland Valley story missions (The Revelator, the one where you bring gas trucks to Falls End) when I took out John and they were closed out after I beat him, so heads up for anyone almost there if they wanna play each one. Pretty sure I didn't get the rewards, but I hope they're considered complete progress-wise

 

Was having a huge amount of trouble with the armored convoys mission until I bought a helicopter with machine guns and rockets.

Felt like a badass just waiting at the end of the road they were going down until they came into sight and taking them out with one thing of rockets.

 

glad to hear I'm not the only one who was having a tough time with the convoy mission. Remote explosive in the road + LMG finally did it for me.

 

I want to bring the fuel tracks back but I keep having a hard time finding them. Close to getting to John too.

 

I figured out they were completed out after I finally got ahold of a second truck and returned to Falls End and there was no quest still active for it. was so annoyed lol
