I was definitely exaggerating for -2 most weeks, but it’s happened to me enough times to be pissed about it lol I would say on average I’m getting 0-4 points. These are the scoring rules which I feel are prob normal?

The defensive yards are probably what are doing that if you're catching a defense giving up 35+ points. Thats not standard in most leagues, though I have played in leagues where it matters.

bro I have like 8 claims in for both of my leagues lol

in one league, I have lost Goedert, Pitts, ARob, Mooney the past 2 weeks so I am just scrambling for bodies

In my dynasty league I am definitely gonna toss some FAAB on him because why not lol, but in my redraft league I don’t even know

We did it one or two years on my league. It was pretty dumb.

Who should I roll with at QB in must win territory:

    Brady vs NO
    Lawrence vs Detroit

Also other options out there are Goff, Mariota, Daniel Jones, and obv a total piece of shit returning which I really don’t want to root for other than a torn ACL.

Gotta love that my opponent picked up Watson this week. Hope he gets concussed on the first play

Kind of in the same thought haha, Lawrence looked legit great last week in the 4th and is now getting Detroit, who is worst in the league against fantasy QB’s.

Brady is always so bad against the Saints and his ceiling is like 18 points this season

I’d also go Lawrence I think

That's wild. I was going to say, that's all pretty standard and then I saw the part about the defensive yards. That's awful.

Anyway, I typically change my defense every week, and pick up whoever is on the Waiver Wire that has the most appetizing opponent. I think maybe only once or twice in 15 years of fantasy did I ever keep the same D all year.

Having a great D is a good advantage too. Some years I stream, some years I get a D and stick with them, either at the start or during the course of the year.

This year I was all in on the Eagles D because of their schedule and I expected them to be vastly improved and I was correct. Have basically started them every week in every league, with one or two exceptions (Bucs D a few times in one league, Pats D in another). In fact in that league I'm holding the Pats and Eagles D right now, not the first time I've ever held two defenses, but it's a rarity. They're both just so good this year points wise that denying them to any of my competitors is nice enough, let alone the production I've gotten from them. Unfortunately I've missed some of the big Pats D weeks this year because the Eagles had the better matchup in theory, like two weeks ago.

But yeah getting double digits from my defense nearly every week has definitely given my teams a bit of an advantage. Same with the kickers too, I've nailed them this year with Carlson and Succop (who has unfortunately fallen off but started the year hot)

Yeah I think defense is still worthwhile for the most part. All for dropping TE and probably kickers too though lol

my big $$ league also has yards allowed as a stat for D/ST...I fucking hate it and have been trying to get people to change it

because a D could dominate a first half and be up 24-0 or something, but then just play shell prevent D and give up a lot of yards in the 2nd half. Its not indicative of a D really playing well or not IMO overall

I think defense should get added points for yards returned on an INT or a fumble. Kind of bullshit that it's all or nothing with the TD. Like a defense will get 8 points if they have a pick-6 on a 10-yard int/return, whereas a defense could get an interception, go 70 yards after the int, but not score the TD and it's only 2 points.

Also, like the idea of defenses getting 1 point if the team wins, or lose a point if the team loses.

had a deal worked out with someone yesterday in my $$ league. He said "give me some time to think about it tonight". I texted him last night to remind him, because our trade deadline is today. No response.

No response today. Deadline just passed lol

    I hate this shit

It hurts me that Fields got hurt when he did and Russell Wilson forgot how to play football, because the only right move to have made was pick up Watson (next best options were like Heinecke and other equally trash QBs) for the run to the playoffs.

Not the way I want to win...

It’s a really frustrating situation, because in every league there is someone who needs a QB and he is inevitably unavoidable and will be picked up and played.

It just sucks he is even in the league, and the same frustration goes for Tyreek, Hunt, Mixon, etc.

We watch the sport for fun and play fantasy to root for guys to help us beat our friends, and when you take the reality of it and are rooting for trash humans it sucks the fun out of it and just stinks.

.5 PPR, need to figure out who my flex is gonna be since Singletary plays tonight.

    Devin Singletary @ NE
    Darius Slayton v. WSH
    Kareen Hunt @ HOU

Hunt has by far the best matchup here, but the work has been so inconsistent. Singletary has a hard AF matchup. Slayton is a who knows.

its Singletary pretty easily for me
