waiver priority is dumb IMO

FAAB or die!

 

8-3 in a league and 7-4 in another so I also can’t relate

 

Legit been trying HARD to convince my league to switch go FAAB. It’s insane they don’t want to. Legit it gives you a chance for any player, not this useless waiver priority.

My league doesn’t even do “12th place has first” it’s just an order set randomly at beginning of season and once you use a claim you go back to the end of line.

 

I didn't the idea at first in our Chorus league but it's so much better lol

 

My league doesn’t sort waiver priority by standings. It sorts it by order of moves. For instance, the first pick of the draft gets last waiver priority as soon as draft is over, while worst pick of the draft gets 1st priority. And then from there it changes as teams go through their priority.

It’s stupid but that’s how my league has done it for 15 years.

 

My league is freaking out at me because if I have an open roster spot, I’ll pickup a backup RB who’s not owned before the game. If the starter doesn’t get hurt I’ll repeat with a backup on the next 4 pm game.

My response was: add FAAB and we won’t need to try to get ahead of waivers and stash these guys to have a shot at a player.

 

Swift, Michael Carter, or Akers? Non-ppr

Ugh that’s tough. I’d be between Swift or Carter. I think Carter is safer with the potential checkdowns. Swift is so unpredictable with workload.

 

Wilson Jr or Pierce?

 

Oof that's tough, can you not play both? If you can only pick one then Wilson

 

I think I’m leaning Wilson as well on that. I don’t like Pierce’s rushing upside against KC especially since I assume they will get blown out.

Wilson should get the majority of carries on a good offense which should also lead the game.

 

Miami has been tremendous this year against RBs. Their rushing D numbers are skewed because they got tore up by Lamar and Fields.

I would lean Wilson.

 

Houston is @ Miami this week

 

my bad I confused matchups haha, it’s cause I was originally going Miami defense against Houston and switched to KC vs LAR so I had both on my mind.

Regardless, still def prefer Wilson over Pierce

 

I could bench Jamaal but that ended me last week...

 

The Rondale Moore experience was fun for steady 10 points from my WR3 for a few weeks, but now he’s prob gonna miss this week and then Hollywood will be back. I hope they put Brown outside and keep Moore in the spot, but who knows

 

sounds like Hollywood will be on a snap count if he plays this week. I Think I am going to wait it out with him and play either Burks or ARob over him

 

I’d feel pretty good with Burks!

 

My WR3 spot is my only real weak spot on my roster and I need to play someone if Rondale is out. Which crapshoot should I pickup and start;

Thielen vs NE (Thanksgiving game)
Mack Hollins vs Seattle
Dortch (if healthy) vs Chargers
Julio Jones vs Cleveland

 

definitely Thielen out of those options

 

pick a RB2 and 2 flex. Right now I have the top 3 in. 0.5 ppr.

Darnell Mooney

really debating putting Carter in over Foreman though since Mike White loves to checkdown

 

I might go carter there based on that and the matchup.

Dak is really pissing me off right now

 

I think I've finally got my league to the platonic ideal of leagues. FAAB waivers. No TE slot. No kickers. Standard 1QB/2WR/2RB and then 3 W/R/T flex spots. Then we have 5 bench spots and an IR slot...so bye weeks and injuries stack up fast.

Acutally makes drafting strategy really fun, gets rid of all but maybe the top 5-6 TEs as playable pieces (as it should be), and generally removes as much randomness as possible (kicker randomly kicks multiple 50+ yarders, etc).
