I literally have no idea what a bad team is supposed to look like in an 8 person league lol

One of the guys in our 8 team, 1 QB league took Lamar and Dak with his first two picks and still has a pretty good team lol

Its actually kind of fun, just a bit of a mindfuck when coming from a 12 team league as well. You get super excited about the waiver wire and then realize that you arent even starting like, Robert Woods.

  4. ugh i’m drafting 8th in about an hour and i’m dreading it. thinking davante-kelce but taking no elite rb last year killed me lol

I’ve also got 8th in one 12 team draft and 5th in another. Absolutely hate it. Love drafting towards the end of the round so much better

I draft 9th (though in a league that doesnt require TEs), so I understand the fear. But every time I do the math, its so easy to get great WRs in the 3rd/4th and later, that I'd rather take the 8th best RB than Adams.

Like I walk out with Jonathan Taylor and Antonio Gibson...and have one of the Bucs and one of the Dallas WRs as my WR1/WR2, I feel a lot better than Adams/WR2 and Gibson/Carson

    K: Matt Gay

    BN: Michael Pittman

So I assumed I'd be keeping Mike Davis here....but completely forgot I have Damien Harris for $6 as well. Davis is still the right pick here right?

  9. 10 team PPR picked 4th

    QB: J. Allen
    RB: Kamara
    RB: Zeke
    WR: A. Cooper
    WR: Thielen
    TE: L. Thomas
    D/ST: Pittsburgh
    K: J. Sanders

    BE: Gaskin
    BE: R. Anderson
    BE: Fournette
    BE: Waddle
    BE: Beasley
    BE: Sermon
    BE: D. Parker

    IR: M. Thomas

Fucked up and didn’t realize Buffalo opens with Pittsburgh so I claimed Miami’s D/ST for Thomas’ BE spot lol.

Yeah, I wont trust a NE back no matter how clear cut a #1 they have. And Mike Davis looks in line for as many carries, plus he'll actually get receptions, while Harris wont with James White on the roster.

Non-PPR you could make go Harris, but, even then I'd go Davis

I think in standard scoring I’d agree but Davis does catch a lot of balls.

I also realized I wrote off Ronald Jones with the Bucs backfield seemingly a mess, but he seems to have had a good preseason. He’s also primed to lose pass catching duties to others though.

  16. Nah. I have no idea lol. Had a dude take a kicker before a TE.

Alright so I'm picking #2 in a 10-team half PPR league. Starting lineup is QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 flex, D/ST. So no kickers and no designated TE spot but you can flex a TE.

There's not really a consensus #2, right? There's cases to be made for Cook, Henry and Kamara, but I shouldn't be locked into any of them until I study up?

In PPR I would go Kamara or Cook. I’m biased so I would take Kamara as he’s been on my team every year since he came into the league lol

Should I keep Chase Claypool at pick #53/fifth round? His aggregate ADP is 67th, but after all keepers are kept, he’s probably close to that 53 slot in this league.

My friends and I have had an 8 man league for 9 years now. We do in person drafts, have a championship belt, etc. It's a ton of fun and everyone usually has pretty good teams, as you should in a league that small. One of our guys, who played football through school and is generally pretty knowledgeable about the game, has a habit of drafting some BAD teams. In fact, he's won our "toilet seat" (the trophy for last place) 3 times - the only player to do so. He's primed for a 4th with this team.

We changed our rules a bit this year because people wanted to move to a hybrid dynasty format. The draft started with a 2 round rookie draft. He drafted 4th in the rookie draft, and 8th in the regular. We're a 2 QB league.

    DeVonta Smith
    Rhamondre Stevenson

    Saquon Barkley
    Russell Wilson
    CeeDee Lamb
Adam Thielen (2 year keeper, gave up next year's pick to keep)
    Josh Jacobs
    Mark Andrews
    Odell Beckham Jr.
    Justin Tucker
    Jameis Winston
    Jonnu Smith
    Melvin Gordon III
    Henry Ruggs III
    Ryan Tannehill (1 year keeper)
    David Johnson
    Devante Parker
    Washington (DEF)
    T.Y. Hilton

Might not look so bad for a larger league, but yikes.

We skipped last year because of all the uncertainty, but yeah I think I had Kamara 2 of 3 years before that so it's where I lean.

I think I have that gut feeling where I'm like "If I take Kamara, Taysom Hill is going to play an obscene amount of QB snaps and vulture goal line TDs and it will be an awful pick. But if I DON'T take Kamara, it's gonna be Jameis SzN and Kamara is going to go bonkers and I'm going to kick myself for it"

So Im assuming Lawrence, Najee, Pitts go top 3 in the rookie draft...so yeah, taking Devonta Smith is wild. And why wouldnt you do a dart toss on one of the rookie QBs (who you can keep), over keeping Ryan Tannehill who is a replacement level QB in an 8-team, 2QB league...

He's gotta be a Pats fan to go Stevenson...

He is. And yeah, those were the first 3 off the board. He had Fields and Chase sitting there, or even a guy like Williams or Trey Sermon, who will probably take on pretty big roles quickly. He also could’ve gone with Mac Jones, knowing he’s clearly the future there. The other big Pats fan got Mac at 8.

Thielen in the 4th (keeper value where he drafted him last year) threw me for the biggest loop.

We just got the list of keepers for that 16 team league I joined and man....I'm gonna have quite a choice to make at pick 8. I kept Robinson in the second round and Chase Edmonds later on so basically I've got pick #8 and Pick 35 and I'm gonna have to decide what to do there. The top 7 RBs weren't kept but this league hhas been no PPR until THIS year, so I'm fully expecting the top 7 picks to be those RBs. So do I go with one of the top WR/Kelce there, or do I reach on the next available RBs (Gibson, Harris, etc).

Truth be told, I'm not loving the WR options that will be available to me at pick 35 based off estimates of whose gonna be available there.

I ended up with 10th pick so I was extremely bummed to not have him, but I was fully preparing if I got #2 to take him. No way could I ever go a season knowing I COULD have had him and passed over lol

In my 2 leagues plus my brothers’ league he went #2 in every single one.
