Love seeing all that red in my matchups this week when I’m fighting for the 3 seed be being the 4th or 5th

fucking Connor needs to come back. I have Brissett and Foles in my bench right now for QB options

I say this every year, but to me, fantasy football is typically won or lost on the waiver wire. I've never been a great drafter - I mean, everyone is pretty much shooting darts after the 3rd or 4th round - but I hawk the waiver wire like crazy and take a good 20-30 minutes every Mon/Tues of each week to study trends/players worth picking up and I am always competitive because of it.

The worst thing in the world was letting Jackson fall to the 13th round in my keeper league. Like how the fuck did we not draft sooner. I went in on Watson early so I get why I didn't want to invest in a 2nd QB … but my team this year and next year wishes I did.

Yeah I have one good friend who is always towards the top of the standings every year I play with him and I won't lie, he made this point to me years ago and I just was never too pro-active about it. This year I made sure to be and it's made me really appreciate fantasy football again after years of doing terrible and quitting halfway through the season. I'm usually a DFS guy and really enjoy that but i've found a new appreciation for season long this year. Probably because im finally doing well lol

There's such a conventional belief not to draft a QB too early, like in my leagues you will get knocked for it but I think the past few years with Jackon, Mahommes, Watson and even Murray that narrative should change.

Somehow got 115 (no ppr) points and won this week even with my 3 rb's (1 in flex) combining for 13 points thanks to Nuk, and DJ Moore going off

I specifically targeted Allen and Jackson because I figured 50yds and a TD running weekly would make up for bad QB play. Jackson paid off in spades, but in the league where I have Allen/Ryan, if I had taken Watson instead, I'm looking at 695pts overall instead of 619 and 556 (not to mention the weeks where I played the wrong guy like this week w/ Ryan).

Although, this year, the RB position is one where if you didnt hit on guys early, you're screwed. WR position always seems to be the one where if you just take dart throws on late round guys, they pay off.

I do always invest in a QB somewhere in the first 5-6 rounds and it usually works out enough where I've made the playoffs (and championship many times) in my fantasy career. I put so much stock into that position and not having a good one weekly stresses me out so I do typically lock one up early.

However, there's no kidding if you hit late on Jackson this year or Mahomes last year you are in a hell of a spot. I just know I will never get that lucky and choose the right guy.

Lamar gonna go in round 1 in many drafts next year lmao

It just kills me he's being kept in the 13th round in my league … ugh.

I still can’t believe I pulled off the Joe Mixon for Lamar Jackson trade. Literally the only reason I’m even in contention to make the playoffs.

I didn't even realize until five minutes ago that Yahoo Fantasy did this, but you can change Current Standings into different options - including Draft Day projections. The Draft Day Projections had me in 9th place (out of 10 teams) at 3-11. I'm currently 7-5 and in 4th place with third most points in the league (8 away from second). The Draft Day Projections had the current 2-10 team at 12-2. So yeah, the draft is not nearly as valuable as reacting to how the season is going in real-time. Unfortunately, there's a lot of fantasy players out there that think because their draft didn't work out that they cannot save their season, but in reality one or two pick-ups throughout the season can completely change your season around.

When I was desperate from both Gordon and Barkley being out I traded Golladay for Mixon but then I was able to turn Mixon and Miles Sanders (who was just dropped in my league lol) into Hopkins and Sutton lmaooooo

Our projections had one team at 13-0; he is currently 1-11. It had in the top 3 spots the teams that are currently 12th, 11th, and 9th in our league.

Mostly thats because this year has been insanity in fantasy; the difference between having drafted Dalvin Cook at #15 instead of say Mixon or Conner is about 10pts/week. Drafting CMC instead of the other top 3 RBs gets you between 10-15pts/week more. There's nobody that was screaming from the rooftop that CMC would be almost 3x as valuable as Barkley...but here we are. I think of the top 12 players in ADP, only CMC and Michael Thomas have delivered 10+ a week every week.

I feel like it doesnt happen this often that like 2 players at each position are so laughably ahead of everyone else; if you have two of them, you're 12-0 right now. If you have one of them, you're 6-6 at worst even if the rest of your team is terrible.

Yeah, McCaffery is single handedly carrying my 7-5 team. It's ridiculous.

I drafted for my wife's team at #1, and honestly felt like I crushed the draft. I'd have bet 8-5 at worst...honestly though Id doomed my own team.

But nope, here she is looking at 5-8 at best and my top 5 draft picks are mostly blah for her team

In my one league, I only have 7 guys still that I drafted...and two of them - that I drafted in the 2nd and 3rd round - I never play (JuJu and Damien Williams). A third player was Drew Brees, who I hardly played for most of the year due to injury.

It's always interesting to me to look at the players you drafted vs who is still on your team mid - to the end of the season.

This is the CMC team in my league. They have no business sniffing the playoffs.

I have Lamar/CMC/Dalvin in one league and its really not fair lol

Completely covers for the fact that my 3/4 picks were Damien Williams and Robert Woods

Yeah, I'm definitely not going to complain about being a CMC owner, but it does suck knowing that if he has an off game, I'm fucked. Like, this week he's projected to score 25, which is such an absurd projection.

Outside of him, I've had some help from Chris Carson and Ekeler - however both of them have been inconsistent. Honestly, San Fran D has been giving me double digit scoring in most weeks as well. They're like my 4th most dependable fantasy play.

This is my 8-4 3rd place team. Like i said, handcuff guys have been saving me. I had latavius murray too during those couple weeks Kamara was out and he crushed it. I look at this team now and I'm still not impressed.

I picked up James Washington last week because nearly all my WRs had byes and he crushed it. I've been pretty lucky this year haha

This is my 9-3 cmc team...started the year with a terrible WR situation (Antonio Brown and Josh Gordon)

worked my way back by picking up Chark and trading Raheem Mostert to a super desperate Tevin Coleman owner for John Brown early on in the season.

Drafted Barkley 1st ovr, I knew it was going to be a struggle all year just because drafting #1 ovr is the absolute worst and really thins out the rest of your roster, but had no idea that Barkley would be one of the main culprits for my struggles lol

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

I went RB-RB-RB to start my draft. I had first overall pick. I’ve never had good luck with first overall picks. Anyhow I went Saquon, Carson, and Damien Williams in the first three rounds. And of course WRs have been carrying me the whole season. Drafted Kupp, Landry, and Brown. Picked up Chark after the second week and Devante Parker recently. Now I wish I could just start all 5 of those guys and not even start my RBs haha.
