Man just took down the #1 team this week (thanks to tevin/murray) balling out. I actually picked up Murray at 8 am yesterday morning, lol.

 

I wanted him to get 100.

 

I’m 6 points off the all time league record for weekly scoring. Hoping Conner can rip off a long one or punch one more in but looking like a long shot now

 

Both my fantasy teams went OFF this week.

Everything was going absolutely fantastic and then James Conner gets hurt in fucking garbage time????

 

Who would you guys rather have ROS: David Johnson or Marlon Mack?

I think some guy in the league accidentally dropped Sutton and Stills? His only other receivers are on bye this week...

 

In my 8-team league, there are a lot of attractive defenses on the wire for Week 9. Who would y'all go with:

NYJ vs. MIA
PHI vs. CHI
Car vs. TEN
Dallas vs. NYG
SEA vs TB

I'm leaning SEA vs. TB because Winston is a TO machine and they have given up 4th most points to defenses. I know MIA is a dumpster fire but the Jets haven't been that great on defense this year.

 

I’m in first place in my league but I’m really itching to try to flip Ertz because if he keeps under performing I know it could potentially cost me some matchups. I was thinking about offering him with one of my WRs to the Waller owner because his WR group has been bad recently and he’s in 10th(out of 12). I just really don’t see Ertz’s season turning around much. What do you guys think?

I hopped off the Ertz train early, and although i'm not doing so hot regardless, I was able to snag Everett who is generally producing on par or more than him. If you can swipe Waller--absolutely.

 

Yeah I’m trying to pick up Fells just in case but I want to try to get something for Ertz instead of letting him rot on my bench or dropping him.

 

I have to say I think I picked the right year to finally convince my league to dump the dedicated TE spot. Could only imagine how tilted the people who drafted Ertz, Kittle and Kelce would have been in the old format.

Funny thing is people are still rostering TE. There's 13 on rosters right now in a 12 team league and at least half of those aren't worth it. I've been treating them essentially as WR that you can only play as a flex and I cannot understand why you would have some of these guys.

Hooper (WR7), Kelce (WR18), Waller (WR20), Engram (WR27), Andrews (WR29), Kittle (WR35), Ertz (WR46), Fells (WR47) is where I'd draw the line purely on scoring. Hunter Henry is close behind Fells and is obviously useful but like.... Hockenson? Ebron? Olsen? Why would you waste a bench spot?

 

What do you guys think about trading Melvin Gordon for Mark Andrews? I have Austin Ekeler and have been streaming TE's almost every week with little success after drafting OJ Howard.

 

Yeah, Ive yet to do that, but theres certainly guys like Waller who make the argument for being a flex play every week due to volume.

 

I think the solution to a TE slot is simple: stop drafting pretty much any TE before round 5. Outside of Gronk and maybe Kelce, counting on them for WR sized numbers consistently year to year is probably a bad idea.

But I'm also I guess a "purist" or something who wants to keep the TE slot. I thought I was SOL in my draft when I missed out on the TEs but I drafted Andrews for cheap and then picked up Jonnu Smith last week.

 

Suicide pool....San Fran or Seattle? San Fran is the obvious play I think, but I think I wanna keep them in my back pocket for week 11 when they're home against the Cards. I figure I can use Seattle this week, pick the Colts against Miami next week, and then San Fran in Week 11.

Unless someone wants to talk me into using the Jets against Miami lol

 

Not gonna talk you into it because I feel like the Dolphins can actually get a W this weekend.

 

Yeah I figured. I'm just a little skittish using Seattle this week because Tampa Bay/Winston are just so unpredictable, they could be awful or they could put up 35 points and luck into a win

Buffalo is another option but I think they got exposed as being paper champs a little bit and while the Redskins aren't as good as the Eagles.....idk, still makes me nervous.

 

Buffalo at home against Washington is who I would pick tbh

This might be why I wouldnt do the trade; like if you cant get a team good enough to make the playoffs, Im usually loath to then see that team help a playoff team.

But, thats pretty fair overall...and if you have a lot of WR injuries or need those 3 just to fill out lineups, then Id do it rather than keep scraping from the waiver wire

 

I dont think Id do that with that roster; if Jones/Montgomery get hurt, Im not sure you have a viable RB2 on that roster...and the choice between Walton/Singletary/Barber week to week would probably cost you games.

That roster looks like a perfect one to just throw out a ton of 2-for-1 deals in the hopes of upgrading.
