In that case, I agree. I dropped John Brown recently because I have Hopkins, Lockett, Kupp, and Ridley at WR so I would never find myself using him.

So now that it looks like Melvin Gordon is supposedly gonna show up to the team tomorrow, I think I’m gonna hold off on a move because I’m gonna drop Justin Jackson if Gordon for real shows up.

 

Yeah Justin Jackson is basically worthless now

 

Thinking I gotta go get Gordon from the guy who owns him, since his roster is weak and I can pull a 2-for-1 most likely. Also will free me up a bench spot to be aggressive with the other FA's available (we're a 5-bench spot league, so there's lots out there). Mind you, this is a league of very bad owners, so some logic has to go by the wayside.

I've got this to offer (.5ppr, 2RB/2WR/2Flex league):

WR: Edelman, Woods, Jeffrey, McLaurin, Chark
RB: Ekeler, White, Hyde, Penny (dont want to trade Bell)

Thoughts on what to package together? My RB depth gets bad fast if Gordon comes back to his 80% workload and Ekeler becomes barely flex-able.

The other possibility is to run OBJ-> Gordon by him, since he's a huge Browns homer (he has Kareem Hunt taking up a bench spot...), but I'd rather pull a WR2/flex RB->Gordon move if I can to clear my log jam at mid-level WR.

Ahhh I have ekeler in one league, and Gordon in another. I think I’m gonna try and trade for Gordon in the other.

 

The guy who has Gordon lost hunter Henry AND Barkley, I picked up gallman this morning.

Is either Waller/Andrew (one of them) and gallman for Gordon a decent exchange?

 

If I were the Gordon owner, I would not take that deal. I’d want one of those TEs and at least a solid RB2.

 

yeah I’m just not sure what to really offer since Gordon hasn’t played yet. but once he comes back and ekeler relegated to the backup role, my RBs are Mixon, Henry, gallman, and ekeler.

 

Yeah, Ill probably wait til next week at least to make a move ultimately...though my thinking was the uncertainty might make him trade him for less than he's worth

 

Picked Gordon up off Waivers this morning as soon as I saw the news. Thank god because Carson is probably getting his carries drastically reduced or benched all together. With Mccafrey and Gordon I have a solid 2 RB's and can now figure out what to do with Fournette on a week to week basis as my flex.

Honestly have no faith in Carson or Fournette this week, almost want to start Chris Thompson over one of them but that seems like a risk lol

I have Jackson and will have Ekeler tomorrow when my trade goes through lol. Should I play both this week or drop Jackson to pick up someone else? I’m thinking Ekeler/Havkson could do damage like Elliot/Pollard did

I’m literally considering starting Chris Thomson over Fourbette in one of my leagues. It’s PPR and I’m really just trying to get a solid floor play.

This is the league I have Gordon in, so ekeler would essentially be a handcuff after this week. Leaning toward declining it because I think I rather take the risk of having two starting RBs than just one and his handcuff.

Wouldn’t blame you. Fournette is not good. He gets great volume/opportunity but does little with it. I mean, the dude had negative rushing yards for most of the last game before popping off one big run.

 

Imaging having Fournette AND Chris Carson???

It just upsets me I actually planned & targeted Fournette. Like that was a plan. I have him in both my leagues.

Carson was more of a “Aaron Jones got drafted right before” so I’ll take the next guy up. Felt good after week 1. Feel awful now.

 

Damn I wish Gordon was playing this week though vs. Dolphins he would have had 30 points easily
