I think that's probably the better plan. I'm not really itching to make a move yet but trying to get some bigger picture targets in view and it's tough to grasp the value of guys without the TE spot now

Tell me about it. It really threw my draft strategy because there werent good mocks to really simulate how that would go. Though Im fairly certain the guys that took McDonald and that level of player are gonna regret it.

But, assume Robby Anderson does about what he did in 2017 (63/941/7), and he's way more valuable than an OJ Howard who does the same, because he can be played at WR or Flex, versus howard who can only take your flex spot.

I would consider only a handful of TEs draftable in a league like that

Kelce, Ertz, Kittle no doubt. Probably Howard and Engram. 50/50 on Henry

If Darren Wallers available I'd snag him and keep your players.

I actually think the presence of OBJ will help Landry. Defenses will for sure focus on OBJ and that could open things up for Landry.

Well I started Rodgers, Jones and Crosby last night so pretty much already a loss for me this week.

Sure, that could happen. I’d just rather go for upside with Fuller in what projects to be one of the highest scoring games of the weeks than aim for a floor with Landry in a game that the Browns can take control of early

never think like that. Went into my championship last year with Rivers getting 1 pt - Chargers were playing Baltimore on a Saturday. Thought I was done. Went on to win. Never count yourself out.

Baker or Brady? Baker was my top choice at QB, but part of me feels like Brady destroys Pitt since I'm a Steelers fan and our secondary is god awful against NE usually.

With AB publicly requesting Oakland release him, I picked up Hunter Renfrow. (.5 PPR) Dropped Ryquell Armstrong for him. Considered dropping Ogunbowale - but I still think he has a lot of potential this season. Armstrong’s value might be directly related to Fournette’s health. Plus I am way more stacked at RB than WR.

So I grabbed Tyrell Williams when all their shit started going down and now that Brown is released, he’s supposedly their #1 guy now.

Should I start him over Calvin Ridley? I’m leaning towards no for now.

At least not yet and see how he performs.

No, not against the Denver defense coached by Vic Fangio

Also, if nobody signs him Week 1 (which I think is likely), then his contract is only 25% guaranteed for the rest of the year. He's definitely not playing anywhere week 1, and Im not sure there's much money in a 1-year deal meh kind of deal for him

That was my thought process. Plus, Jones getting so much attention, Ridley should be able to clean up.

I have Ridley in both my leagues and have been considering starting him as well. My only fear is that the Vikings have a good defense, especially at home, where they don't allow many passing touchdowns. However, I wouldn't put it past the Falcons to push that defense to their limits.

If Melvin Gordon comes back, every player but Ridley on my team is #1 on their respective teams’ depth chart.

So I got a response which was Ekeler for Howard and I don't like it. I'm thinking of countering Ekeler and Gore for Ertz and walking away if it doesn't work

My league has a short bench so it’s hard to have two TEs but I’m really tempted to snag Waller. Is it worth dropping Njoku for him and just taking the risk? I don’t really love Njoku anyway.

  19. socklord

Honestly, wouldn’t blame you. I don’t see Njoku being any higher than third in the target pecking order. He’s struggled as a blocker to this point in his career and the team brought in Demetrius Harris from KC, who supposedly is a good blocker, so I see Njoku potentially losing snaps this season, especially if Kitchens wants the TEs to block more this season with a poor offensive line. OBJ also caps Njoku’s TD ceiling a bit.

With AB gone, Waller could very well become Carr’s #1 target this season, much like how Jared Cook was last year

Starting Josh Allen against the Jets over Matt Ryan against the Vikings is the way to go right?

AB is apparently signing with the Pats. Ugh, I have Gordon so that’ll probably really affect his usage this season.

I grabbed Tom Brady in all my leagues draft and I was going to put him in but I forgot AB is in next week lmao.

Yeah I have him in one league and I’m sitting him this first week to see how they utilize him as the “top guy”. But I’m sure he will be against Harris most the night so I could see them keeping him in check.

I don't see a lot of the Vikings to be honest but everything I've seen this week would indicate that you don't sit Ridley because Trae Waynes is BAD and whichever WR is lined up against him is probably going to eat while Rhodes shadows Julio
