Just finished. Definitely enjoyed it and while I know it’s part of the aesthetic of the games the whole playing 50s music over current/future timelines is so played out.
finished this morning, loved pretty much all of it through to the end. Brotherhood stuff was maybe the weakest of the storylines imo. Love that most of the main characters here are in a moral gray area by the end. Hope next season goes harder on the wasteland creatures. Would love to see some super mutants in s2.
This is a really great video someone put together for describing the lore of the Fallout and the vaults if you haven’t played them and need more background information. Watched it while my kids were playing this morning after breakfast.
This show is awesome, on episode six. My gf is now wanting to play a game from the series so we're gonna start up a Fallout 4 file together
Just finished episode 4. Loved it, but had to read a summary of it because I didn't understand why Howard/The Ghoul collapsed. Do the chems inside that building help ghouls stay alive? And that's why at the end he was smashing them down? Also why were those people keeping those ghouls there? I've never played the games, so unsure if this is explored more there.
know absolutely nothing about the games but I just watched episode 1 of this and loved it. just a big fan of Walton Goggins doing Walton Goggins shit
that Ghoul serum in ep 4 is not a thing in the games. Only thing that they feed off of is rads in game. And only things that make ghouls go feral are brain rot or lost of mental fortitude after decades/centuries of being 'alive'. There is no magic fix for them as far as I know and the rate of going feral is dependent on the person. Ep 7 spoilers: Also don't think you can just turn some one into a ghoul like that snake oil salesman seemed to have done to Thaddeus, but there is a chance he somehow had some FEV on hand and he's now turning into a super mutant, hence the healing factor.
Saw the first episode last night. It was shot so beautifully. The show visually looks so good. And with me knowing nothing of Fallout I’m pretty intrigued
Just a PSA for anyone here looking for an easy/cheap access point into the game series. At least on PSN Fallout 4 + season pass is dirt cheap until April 25th. Season pass is $12 for all the DLC and base game is only $5.
This was decent. Goggins and Purcell were highlights. I thought the vault-tec motivation was pretty silly though.
this show really comes alive when Goggins and Purcell encounter each other, they work so well together on-screen "that's one small drop in a very big bucket of drugs" lmao
I just finished the 1st episode and it was pretty good. Never played the games and have no idea on what their style is and how violent or humorous they are, and if this is tonally similar. It wasn't what I expected at all for sure but interested enough to carry on with it.
love that the dialogue and interactions with minor characters feels like video game writing and quest giving.
